We arrived at this lovely restaurant on a busy Saturday evening and the staff managed to provide us with a table. Despite the restaurant being busy, the staff offered a friendly and polite service and did not rush us at all!
The food itself was both delicious and generous! We ordered the soup of the day and ham terrine to start and the beef bourguignone and steak for our mains. Both courses were fantastic, particularly the beef!
The desserts were also lovely, although perhaps a little less generous than the starters and mains. Overall, this is a lovely neighbourhood French restaurant and we would definitely return!

We were so pleasantly surprised by Bourgogne Sud. Usually I make reservations for all dinners ahead of our trip, but when we arrived late in Paris we were too tired to go across town, so I asked the concierge at the Hilton Paris Opera for a recommendation. We've been going to Paris for years, and it is rare to find such a reasonably priced restaurant with such good French food in the main downtown area. My husband loved the boeuf Bourguignon (he said it really was the best he has had) and I had the Quenelles Nantua (which I would describe as a combination between a fish mousse and dumpling , in a delicious sauce, ) The escargot was also good and the profiteroles with a homemade dark chocolate sauce were the perfect end to the meal! The service was professional and friendly (thanks to Zenab and the other young server, who brought extra mashed potatoes when she saw I couldn't stop eating them from my husband's plate). We plan to return!

We had a table booked which was not ready on arrival. The owner manager spontaneously invited us to stand and drink wine and eat prosciutto at a small table on the pavement at the front of the restaurant. This was in fact a great start. We were then ushered in to the cosy bustling hotel interior. The service was fast and friendly. I had fish on a bed if vegetables. We shared a bottle of red wine. This place is a gem.

We had originally planned to go to another restaurant but that fell through and we decided to look for somewhere close to the apartment. This is a small restaurant literally around the corner from where we stayed and the menu looked interesting. They were not busy when we arrived about 6.30 but very quickly filled up and it is obviously popular with locals. The waiter was excellent and spoke good English to explain the menu. My wife had snails and calves veal and I had the asparagus and sea bream. It was all excellent and the wine recommended by the waiter was perfect. Would highly recommend.

I have eaten here on two previous trips to Paris and found the food to be excellent and service good. Not this time. We pre booked but on arrival the maitre de had to go and search for an appropriate table. Once found we had to wait - and wait - and wait. After about 25 minutes of waiting to order, during which time another table was served with the wrong food and realising that at least three other tables who arrived before us had yet to order, we gave up. I told the mart de in a very cordial manner that we were leaving and was greeted with indifference, as though this was all perfectly normal. Obviously I can't comment on the food as we didn't actually receive any.

This place was recommended by the Hilton Paris Opera so we thought it would be good. We were absolutely wrong. First, they couldn't find our reservation, that the Hilton made for us. Next, they sat us in the worst table in the restaurant - okay no problem, not dispositive. They give you champagne once you sit down, which was awful. It's hard to imagine that Champagne in Paris could be bad, but it was not drinkable. I had the escargot and my boyfriend had the burger with fries. The escargot was WAY too hot, and had too much garlic and butter. I know that's how escargot are cooked, but I've had it before all over Paris and it's always been delicious. We had it 2 nights previous at Les George and it was wonderful! The escargot at Bourgogne gave me a stomach ache and I thought I would throw up. My partner's burger was just okay, and the fries had no flavor. Needless to say we skipped dessert. The Hilton also recommended Lorette & Les Garcons, which looks much better. Unfortunately they were closed when we were in Paris. Go somewhere else, and save yourself from feeling sick all night.

We ate here last year and it was most definitely a 5 star experience with the quality of the food, exemplary service. Unfortunately on our return the experience was a little lacklustre. The Bourgiognon still had that taste we remember, and the Steak Tartare was was ok, but unfortunately they forgot the salad. The main issues was the disctinct lack of ambience that made it such a good experience previously. It may have been due to not enough staff available but the service was delayed in the beginning until I had to ask to be served. Hoping this great place can return the ambience to provide the experience it deserves.

Was recommended here by Hilton hotel as one of very nice and authentic restaurants.
I have ordered snails for starter and beef Bourgignone as main with house ted.
Both dishes were spectacular but I would love to point out that this has been the most perfect and amazing beefs I had in my life.
Absolutely a must and the staff is very cheerful and attentive.

Great traditional country French food! Beef Bourgogne, chicken, cheese, escargots.... All prepared with expertise and a flair of the traditional.
Zenab was our server and she was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.
Great experience for us non-Parisian/ Americans...

From the starter to the dessert, including the waiter's welcome, we are delighted and enjoyed ourselves.... and we highly recommend this restaurant after an evening at the theater next door! Thank you to the Burgundian butler for his kindness and professionalism! We would have liked as much warmth from the boss for a 10 out of 10

An excellent restaurant that I recommend in the Paris Casino district.
The dishes are both atypical, varied, very well prepared and very generous!
I "discourage", even if "disadvised" is not necessarily the right word, the burger which is good but all in all quite classic, compared to all the other good dishes on offer that I have seen passed at my expense, putting too much rush hastily on the burger.
Fortunately I opted for a starter and a dessert, both really delicious.
The setting and the service are very pleasant, and the staff are very friendly, special mention to the manager, very smiling and communicative!
I would definitely come back, but I won't have the burger this time 😜

The atmosphere of the place does not contribute to the conviviality of the moment that a meal in the restaurant should be.
The welcome is courteous but not very warm, the dishes are good but lack refinement in both taste and presentation.
You also need to have time on your hands because the service lacks fluidity and the wait is long between starters and main courses.
Finally the prices are correct both for the catering and for the wine list.

I had the pleasure of visiting Bourgogne Sud restaurant, thanks to my Parisian colleagues who always seem to know the best spots. This is the kind of place where you don’t pay a fortune, but you eat incredibly well.
The restaurant is charming, intimate, and feels authentically Parisian. Prices are reasonable, and the dishes are outstanding. I had the chance to try a bit of everything—from Escargot to Terrines. The Bourguignon was absolutely spectacular, and the wine selection perfectly complemented the meal.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Paris. It’s a true gem, perfect for those looking to avoid the overly touristy spots and discover something locals would choose. Definitely a must-visit!

Very popular and very full, but you'll likely find a spot unreserved in good time. Very good food on the two dinner occasions we went ( Dec 2024) They don't offer Boeuf Bourgogne but they say they have something using the same sauce. Surprising..but if that's not what you would be coming for you'll find a lot of other delicious offerings. It is recommended by our hotel. ( Since our hotel recommended it and gave us their card as their referral, we got a free appetizer and a glass of bubbly. Try it with your hotel, maybe they take all referrals ) The house Pinot Noir is very tasty. Some tables can be very close to others so if you are in the mood to be social it could make for an extra pleasant experience. The crowd seems to be middle aged to senior so the buzz is congenial and not frantic/loud.

The restaurant was highly recommended by the reception at our hotel and it did not disappoint. The place was very welcoming and friendly, happy to provide recommendations and answer questions. The food was outstanding. I had the Boeuf bourgignon but everything on the menu (and the neighboring tables) looked great. Already looking forward to the next visit!
