Been there for business, the table was so small, typical from Paris, the food quality was very good but there was poor service as too crowded

We were in Paris for the new year's eve and booked a table from Bourgogne Sud for dinner. Because of the day, only certain menus were available. The food was very good, the atmosphere nice and service friendly and quite fast despite being fully booked for the evening.

This restaurant was recomended to us by concierge in our hotel and it was definitely a good choice. We wanted to experience a classic french evening and it definitely was the one for us. We had wonderful dinner and bottle of wine. Everything was great and exactly what we wanted and expected. Thank you. The only minus is the space... More

We just fell into this restaurant out of the rain. A total find. The clientele were all French, no music but fantastic background chatter created a lovely atmosphere, the menu small but perfect. Perfect service, the cheap wine was lovely and the snails and beef bourginoine (spelling!!) was absolutely to die for! You must go here!

A cosy restaurant with friendly and attentive service. The main waiter was helpful in getting us a table without any fuss despite not having a reservation and despite them being fully booked. On a cold night the warmth of the place and the good, comfort style french food was very welcome. He also recommended a wine that was good and... More

We dined there on our last night in Paris on the recommendation of our hotel concierge. We had a mixed experience as the food was overall average, but the Beef Bourgoigne was great. The wine list is pretty extensive, but definitely on the expensive side. We felt the place was a bit of a tourist trap and if your French... More

This is my first time in Paris and coming to this restaurant was one of the best choices we made! The escargots are rich and buttery--some of the best I tried. The bœf bourguignon is a MUST...served in a steaming pot at your table, along with smooth, delicious mashed potatoes. I highly recommend the house dessert, the ice cream, and... More

Service is quick and concise but the wine list has no reasonably priced options and the menu has little variety.

Nothing spectacular but quite good for the price. The escargots was some of the best I've had and I highly recommend the traditional Beef Bourguignon

Had a delicious boeuf bourguignon at this cozy brasserie at the end of a long business trip. Very busy for a Monday evening - seemed to be full of mostly locals/regulars which is a good sign. A few international business diners as well.

Thank Lisa L

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
