What a wonderful find. Went based on online reviews - could not have been more pleased. Had reservations for party of six - recommended as the bistro is not large - and were welcomed like family. The food and service were superb, and we felt as if we were having dinner in our best friend's kitchen. Reasonably priced. Attentive service.... More

I wanted to find a nice but not overly expensive restaurant in the Rue Daguerre/Cimetière Montparnasse area which I was going to visit. This little Bistrot got great reviews & I can see why. I arrived early for lunch, 11:45 a.m., as I didn't have a reservation. Good thing I did, as they seated me at a nice little table,... More

My partner and I visited this bistro on our final night in Paris, following the reviews we'd seen on here. The bistro itself is tucked away on a quiet street and is well presented. Our table was at 7:30pm but by 8:30pm the place was full and had a wonderful atmosphere. We were warmly greeted by the polite staff who... More

A great little bar/bistro away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets. Very welcoming staff, good food at a reasoable price. Something for everyone on the menu. Busy so either get there early or book!

I came here alone in August. I got there before 8 and was glad I did as it became very busy later on. A good atmosphere in there. The waitress helped me with the items I couldn't read. I had the chicken and the chocolate soufflé, the desert was fantastic! Two ladies working front of house were friendly and helpful.... More

We had a two course meal and drinks. Very busy place small but great atmosphere. All of the food was exceptional - particularly the foie gras. It was disappointing to not be able to have a draught beer when the keg ran out and no one was able to change it.

We visited for lunch and it was full of local diners. The waitress helped us with the menu and everything was fantastic. The lunch menu was a superb deal- try the duck! This was one of our favorite meals on our two week vacation.

Had a lovely meal and a fun time here - staff so lively and friendly, food excellent and just across the road from our hotel in a side street - so we took our Parisian friends there the next night and they too were impressed! Dishes change regularly, so hard to recommend any particular dish, but suffice it to say... More

This restaurant is less than a block from our hotel. It is small-- seats less than 40 I guess. Wonderful proprietress who serves as waitress, manager, interpreter, etc. I had the beef-- a little chewy but tasty, my husband had the veal -- good choice. The creme brûlée and chocolate mousse excellent. House wine was good. Highly recommend for a... More

Food was amazing. The restaurant had a really nice feel to it. The staff spoke English really well and made our experience really enjoyable. Would highly recommend.

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
