A change from many of the larger, more formal venues nearby such as Le Dôme and no less a restaurant, this is a delightful place to eat. Staff were very nice even if slightly bamboozled by our claims of having booked (the current online system is a bit archaic and I'd only use it again at least a day in... More

It wad a Saturday evening, and we were a crew of 8. The staff welcomed us warmly. The overall atmosphere was spontaneous and homy. Their very small kitchen produces great food as well. One of our best night in Paris! Highly recommended!!!

This lovely place was close to our hotel and chosen for convenience and location but what a superb discovery. Felt very welcomed and comfortable in what can sometimes be snooty Paris. Food was not ultra gourmet but very good and our server (owner also?) was friendly and charming and happy and proud to share his regional food. Tried new dishes... More

This evening was my second visit, and again it was exactly what I was looking for; a good dinner, fresh and tasteful. Staff is friendly and very friendly. Will definitely go back here every time I'm in Paris :-)

We had a wonderful meal for lunch, took the full menu, appetizer, main course and dessert for 20,50 euros (15.50 euros for 2 courses). The ingredients were fresh and very nicely presented, and the meal was delicious for all 3 of us. We had a carafe of wine for 15 euros - 50 cl, which was a great deal and... More

We were recommended to try out this restaurant. The food was amazing and delicious. Everything was well put together and the staff were wonderful. I don't recommend the baba au rhum cake. They literally bring you a shot of rum. I'm not too sure if this is the normal way but it definitely hits you!

Quaint French cuisine (of course). home made delicacies. Unique menu, at welcoming price. Try the Lamb sweetbreads (ris d'agneau), veal kidneys (rognons de veau), duck confit, terrine, cul noir de porc, chocolate mousse, mille-feuilles or anything on the menu, you will not be disappointed. Skip the big address on Montparnasse Blvd and try a small place with great taste with... More

One of us wanted duck one more time. They had a wonderful "magret de canard" to die for. Wine selection was great. We were asked to look at the bottles on offer and choose one to taste. Great way to offer unknown wines to tourists. Place was pleasantly noisy with two waitresses handling the whole place very well while joking... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
