Excellent food and service. Price is also reasonable. Many people eating but the environment was nice and comfortable.

Great spot because it is right by the odeon metro. Decent onion soup. Best croissant. Smaller than usual coffees. Obnoxious waiter. Overwhelmed manager. We were there about 5x over the course of Our three day stay. Once or twice we got a half smile.

Very nice cafe. Service was quick. As with most Parisian cafes, Americans will need to adjust their sense of 'personal space', but that's all part of the authentic expereince.

We stopped here for lunch while site-seeing and the food was very good and reasonably priced. Our best memory, however, is of the staff and manager. Our daughter became sick from heat exhaustion and while running from our table outside to the bathroom in the basement, left a little trail. The manager was very sweet about the whole incident, had... More

We had no dinner plans so we decided to visit one of the local bistros in the area close to our hotel. We had a decent dinner here, the service was brisk and the staff weren't warm but they did their job. Between us we had a burger with potato chips and a charcuterie board, which we did enjoy. The... We stumbled on this place as we were waiting for a walking tour to start. Our server spoke English and gave us an English menu. The restaurant is on the small side and the tables are ridiculously small - hard to fit 2 plates and 2 drinks on them at once. We saw many locals eating as well. I had... More

A return visit for a fantastic omelet! This cafe is a neighborhood cafe' and the wait staff speaks a little English. The meal came out shortly after our order and is worth the money we paid for it. If you want to rub elbows with the natives, put it on your eat list.

This cafe lived up to the positive reviews we had read. The staff was welcoming and even let us practice some of our limited French. We had the Salad Nicoise and it was delicious! The vegetables were perfectly done, there was just the right amount of dressing and it was fresh. A wonderful place to watch the world go by!

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
