Sebastian Graves is a talented and thoughtful chef. His food is delicious, beautifully plated, and complex, and it is made with the freshest ingredients. Over the past 5 years, the Covid shutdowns aside, we have spent from several weeks to a month in Paris. We...have made a point of reserving dinner at least 3 times each of those annual visits. We have been delighted with those dinner, sometimes for the two of us, and sometimes with friends. Sadly, Potokka, is now permanently closed, per the restaurant’s website. If we can make a side trip to Bayonne, we will get to eat Sebastian Grave’s food once again. I will look forward to that.More

I thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant. There is absolutely no atmosphere here. It is a place to enjoy unusual, and outstanding French/Basque food. I started with the “ravioli “special. These were unusual raviolis with a foam had almost a meaty saucy flavor. The prawns were somewhat...secondary. I would not recommend a white wine with this dish. Great dish. My wife and I shared the baby lamb shoulder. This was an outstanding dish that shocked us. No need for a knife. The meat comes loose with forks. Again, a delicious dish. We finished with two desserts. My wife had the strawberry rhubarb something . It was fine. I had the mascarpone cheesecake, which was absolutely outstanding. Great food, reasonably priced, with little atmosphere. The man behind the bar was very helpful indeed. I recommend this restaurant.More

We had a very nice evening at Pottoka. The food was very delicious. We chose the 3 course menu and some tapas as a starter. The wine recommendations were very good. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was cosy.

I will give 2 stars because the food on the tables looked very good, although unfortunately I never got that far. Everything else was the most disappointing “hospitality” I had experienced within the past 12 months – and I dine out 3 times a week...in different cities worldwide.  I booked for 7pm. I was about 10 minutes late, but no later than 15 minutes. This shouldn’t have been a problem since they already had my credit card details. Upon arrival, I was greeted rather unkindly and the manager was more concerned about where my ‘second person’ was (which I hadn’t booked for), than sitting me down at a table. I explained that I had only booked for one person (myself) but the manager kept insisting this was “not true” and, even if there had been a mistake, I had arrived. If someone is not attending it costs 50 € and I replied by telling him “I am here”. The manager – or owner – behind the counter kept me waiting and was working on his pad for about 10 minutes. I asked him if I could sit down – there was only one small table left – which I thought should have been mine. Everytime I asked, “no” was the answer and he kept on writing on his pad. He kept going on about the missing person and asking why I hadn’t checked the confirmation email and also why I hadn’t left my telephone number (which was not required, because they had my email address and credit card details). He kept on discussing and blaming me. This was extremely degrading and unfriendly and made me feel as though I was discussing with a bossy accountant . There was no restaurant atmosphere at all. I would like to apologise for the chef’s good work to the tables for having such incompetent management. I left without dining – at last he offered an uncomfortable counter seat next to the door. It wouldn’t have surprised me if he had already called someone else from his waiting list and was going to charge 50 € from me thinking I wasn’t going to turn up.More

The food was very good. However our expectations where very high as this is a Michelin Bib Gourmand. Unfortunately such expectations haven't been fully met. We did enjoy all dishes but the wow factor wasn't really there. For the same price point, there are other...Michelin Gourmand places of better quality.More

Make a reservation for this place. Our hotel front desk lady told us about this place. We decided to walk over to see what it looked like and the only time they could get us in was right then and there. Glad we stayed. We...ordered off the menu carte and each item we received was amazing. Our meal consisted of: Sweet onion soup, wild mushroom risotto and poached pineapple dessert and White cuttlefish confit, Beef cheek confit and chocolate ganache mousse. Definitely Michelin star and we will be back. Service was great as well.More

We had a spectacular meal. All three courses were lovely [especially the chocolate dessert]! The service was impeccable. You should definitely make a reservation as the restaurant is small and we witnessed at least 8 people get turned away[as it was full/or awaiting reservations].

Came to this restaurant with high expectations but we found the food very disappointing - We had the special for the starter but it did not "tease our palate". We both had fish which was dry and I had difficulty swallowing it - overall the...experience was deceiving - as for the waiters, i have not complaints and i found them attentive, polite and very approachableMore

Heard about Pottoka on a local radio program that usually gives excellent advice for restaurants in Paris and they got this one right. The food is a refined take on Basque inspired bistro dishes. We had the confit pork for two which was delicious and...the cod and chicken dishes were cooked to perfection. The accompanying sauces and purées were just sublime. The coffee and chocolate desserts were both original and generous. You can get a starter, main course and dessert for 45 Euros which is a bargain considering the quality and the location. Was packed on Sunday evening so suggest booking. We will be back for sure!More

6 courses with surprise dishes served from the main menu … each dish was beautifully presented. The taste was fabulous €70 per person .. not too bad given it’s location next to the Eiffel Tower A Small restaurant, the tables are close together but this...is common in Paris. We enjoyed our meal very much And the Aperol Spritz was really well madeMore

Food is mindblowing. Reservation is needed as it’s very small (also: expect no personal space) but the food is just unbelievable.

The degustation menu, the service, the wine were all over the top. This is a Michelin-starred restaurant but has none of the pretentions one might expect. The server was engaging and helpful, suggesting an alternative wine when he learned our choice was unavailable. Each dish...was beautifully presented and combined flavors in an unexpected way that was very satisfying. One of our favorite restaurants during our ten day stay in Paris.More

They had a 65€ six course tasting menu that was delicious, Best item was the ris de veau on a block of mac and cheese. Really fun menu. Wine selection had a lot from the southwest to keep with the Basque theme. Great service. They...have a private room as well and you can make reservations online.More
