This is a spacious bistro that has something to please everyone on the menu. The service is good and the food very tasty and all at a very reasonable price.

We were staying in the neighbourhood and decided to have dinner there for our last night in Paris. The waiters were attentive and very helpful - the food outstanding. We tried each other's dishes and they were all delicious. We had a wonderful evening and would come back here again.

We had just arrived from London, it was raining and we were tired. We saw the inviting lights and thought it would make a nice 'first meal in Paris' experience. The people were friendly, especially after I greeted them with 'Bonjour'. Nice menu, decent wine, tasty cheeses and satisfying desert.

After twenty hours of travel and checking in at our hotel, this restaurant was the perfect spot. Nearby in the 1st Arrondissement, we chose a quiet indoor table instead of an outdoor table just off a busy street. The service was superb, and my escargot followed by the black saithe (a firm white fish) with white wine sauce and shallots... More

We were staying near by and ate here THREE times because the service was so attentive and the food well done and priced reasonably. The only downside was it seemed to attract a lot of smokers to the outside patio area (lively scene and good location for people watching), so we had to eat inside (and even there pick your... More

This place had the best creme brulee and (french) onion soup that I have ever had! I highly recommend! Staff was nice, prices weren't too bad. Food was very good!

Not sure that we went to same place as some of precious reviewers! This was our second visit and even better than we remembered. We were met with a very friendly welcome. Being a veggie, I had the warm goats cheese salad, which was delicious and my husband had the special rib of beef which was enormous, very tender and... More

This was our first meal on a recent trip to Paris. Thank goodness it was not the last. The food was awful. I had andouillette (cold) with fries and my friend had an omelette (cold) and fries. It was the first time I have ever had some hot fries and some cold fries on the same plate. The service was... More

We were looking for a place to eat in les Halles area and ended up choosing this restaurant/creperie: had a nice meal with OK service and atmosphere at reasonable prices. Galettes are good, mousse is good too, as well the cider (goes with the crepes).

We had Les Galettes with potatoes. Strange combination for us as tourists but it was amazingly good. I will cook it at home too :) Atmosphere is average but food is delicious.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
