This was by far the worst experience I had for a very long time. The service and the waiter were extremely rude with a terrible attitude; he managed to destroy our good mood for the remaining day. I recommend that you stay away for this horrible place.

This will be my shortest review ever. See the attached receipt. 3 glasses of water and a beer for a total of what's equivalent to $40. Need I say more? Stay away!

we were greeted by someone very angry at the fact that we did not respond to his request how about if we were going to eat or just for drinks. I went there with my mother, aged 74, who does not speak French fluently although she tried. Very hostile and arrogant reception. never go back to this place.

The restaurant forced us to another table and therefore we decided to go eat somewhere else. Then because of that, we got charged 1 euro for using their bathroom. Of course, they did not take credit card so I had to send my partner to the ATM to withdraw cash in order to pay 1 euro. All in front of... More

Ate here 26 May 2016. Have used it many times in the past, though hadn't been since 2012 -- was being refurbished when we were in Paris in 2014. Not how we remembered it. My steak was poor and very fatty. My partner's chicken was mostly bone. Service OK. Good location, but food poor on night we went in. Our... More

We stopped here for a late dinner after a full day of sightseeing and were quite pleased with the food and location. We both ordered the croque monsieur which came with fries and a small salad. The sandwich and salad were quite nice but the fries were amazing; crispy outside, soft inside, and not greasy at all. And they came... More

Waiter indeed not the friendliest. Location en inside of restaurant are okay, but the food is average. Several of us had the crepes (pancaces) with banana and chocolate, but they were (and tasted like) frozen microwave heated pancakes - part was warm, part still cold. Not worth the 9 euro!

Great cappuchino, for reasonable price - well, given that this is Paris ... Nice street view, nice seating

It was 4pm & we were hungry for lunch so we ducked in here for a bite to eat. The food was ok no but we were obviously inconveniencing the waiter by wanting to be served, our first experience of a rude French waiter. We won't be going back when there's so many to chose from.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
