Excellent food and service. Started with ceviche and petit pois soup; both amazing. Fish and Canette (duck) were generous portions and delicious. Added the wine pairings and got a discount from reserving through La Fourchette. Server/owners both speak English. Highly recommended.

On Saturday I took lunch here; the "formule" allows one to take a main dish from the menu for € 15:- and my chosen fillet of tuna was excellent grilled, and the dry white Pouilly Fumè pleasant. Definitely optimal value.... The acoustics are a drawback though, since the noise level - from only ordinary conversation - can get very high... More

I wavered between three and four stars on Bistro T because each time I go, something seems to be "off," and it is usually a staffing issue. The food is a step above traditional bistro cuisine, and for that the place really soars, but on one occasion there was an issue with the bill, and on another, it was an... More

This restaurant had good reviews so we choose it for a party of approx 14 business people. I guess they did not like a big party as they were not smiling and we were put in the basement. OK the food was good quality but portion size was tiny. I almost went to get a snack on the way back... More

All in this very Parisian bistrot is excellent. We had a wonderful and original menu; Very nice squash soup, perfectly cooked scallops, very French blanquette de veau, very good fish, amazing desserts. What else? Wonderful wines, served by a specialist. French athmosphere, two steps from Montparnasse. Really not expensive, specially for lunch. Best choice in the street. Don't hesitate!

I had a langue de chat beef meat served with little boiled potatoes and caramelized onions it was very tasty . My boyfriend had a blanquette de veau veal stew... More

Nice dining room and nice staff for this gastro restaurant. The menu is very limited in term of choice but the dishes are really well designed and cooked. For each dish, there is an wine advice that is really smart. One drawback is that the quantity is not there and therefore I have the feeling it is a bit expensive...... More

You need to experience bistros when you're in Paris. These places have a specific style of cooking, specializing in hearty French dishes, and although the quality is usually as high as in a good restaurant, the setting is less formal. Expect efficiency, not the more personal service you would hope to find in a restaurant. Bistro T is characteristic and... More

Good food, lovely people, but the wrong choice for a large non-French business dinner. Noisy and active and lively can't wait to go back as a small group.

If you can find a deal by booking on La Fourchette or TripAdvisor, as high as 50% off, by all means take it. Easy enough to get to by Metro, it's mainly full of locals and that rare tourist who happens to find it. Wonderful food and service, they'll help you through the menu with a smile even if you... Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
