I love Parisian coffee culture and all the restaurants and cafes, but I wanted a more American-style coffee shop, especially working remote in Europe and found KB CaféShop at the end of my trip, wish I would've found it sooner hence this review! Excellent coffee...pours, all the specialty coffee to soothe your inner coffee needs. Drink it black and appreciate all the complexities and flavors. Plenty of tables and Wi-Fi to people watch and work. That is the Paris way after all. I spent a beautiful October morning watching all the life that is France here, while sipping a wonderful cup or two of coffee. The inside of the coffee shop is very busy, if you like that you might want to sit inside, but I wanted a more chill vibe so that is why I hit the patio. Highly recommend!More
The staff had great knowledge about the coffee being sold there. I said what my preferred flavour profile was and asked for recommendations, I finally took the Colombian one home and it turned out to be one of best coffees I had this year. Also...drank very good cold brew on site, my wife had a flat white, also very good.More
Nice café where you can sit at a table outside on the sidewalk. Latte and flat white are very good. Lemon cake is delicious.
I found this place online. It is a great spot to go sit and get some work done, read a book, or have a chat with a friend in a cosy welcoming space where young locals and expats are also getting some tasks done. The...Bas has different types of hot beverages (I took the espresso which was good), they have some cakes and juice. The prices are not expensive, the staff is very friendly and the service is good and fast. It is a perfect place to sit on your laptop and get some work done. They have free WiFi, but there are no plugs to charge laptops or phone.More
Stop by after hearing Oliver talk about this place on the Earful Tower Podcast. Good coffee, they even had a Gluten Free cake. Cool view of the carousel too. Good stop on your way to Montmarte.
This place looked promising based on the reviews but we had a different experience. We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon to order a couple of lattes before heading to the airport. Coffee was ok at best. Was disappointed in the level of customer service...we received since the table runner was unfriendly and rude. Will check out the other spots close by next timeMore
After visiting Paris (yes, again) a couple of weeks ago we stayed in the 9th arr which we weren’t familiar with. Happily we remembered a previous visit to KB a few years ago and realised it was practically on our doorstep so headed back. Their...coffee is consistently excellent: you can always judge a coffee house on its flat white, and theirs is perfect. Nice micro bubbled milk that gives a smooth texture, with a good strong coffee taste, which isn’t bitter. Can’t comment on the food I’m afraid (we headed for the vienoisserie elsewhere), but I can certainly vouch for the coffee :)More
Spent € 22 on a couple of very disappointing goats cheese toasted sandwiches and a piece of very average quiche... I don’t like to give bad reviews but KB coffee really needs to understand the importance of making people feel welcome and valued...... We felt...neither on our visit this week.... ....More
Very nice coffee which is strange for Paris tasty carrot cake on a nice corner. They speak English and very helpful
If you are a coffee junkie and do not mind paying a little more, then give KB a try. REALLY good coffee.
We’re visiting from Melbourne, Australia which is renowned for great coffee. After struggling to find a great brew in Paris over the past four days, we happened across KB and WOW! The coffee is amazing and perfectly matched with the Apple crumble slice. Heaven!
Never have appreciated this place, particularly the attitudes. Owner must be quintessentially self absorbed. Now and then some super Ozzie waiters. The furniture design is mean...charmingly the most uncomfortable I have experienced in 72 years in the coffee gourmet scene. This discomfort says much about...attitudes toward customers. Only disdain for java junkies would lead to their design. Go to more thoughtful places, with super owners and wai staff...coutume and Lomi set a much higher standard, without attitude and disdain for clients and their comfortMore
After failing to find a good coffee last time I was in Paris, and coupled with the fact I had a few hours to kill, I decided to check out TA for a good coffee house. The result was a trip to this amazing place....Not too far from gard d east/ gard d nord at all, just one or two stops on the line 4 towards Port de Clinancoute and then swap at Barbes R and then it’s about a 10 min walk or 2 more stops on the line 2 towards port dauphine. I ordered Caffè cream which was amazing thick, strong and creamy at the same time along with this I ordered banana cake which was equally as great. It was lovely and moist and just great for scraping off the loblolly layer of hot creamy coffee foam from said coffee. I would definitely recommend this place for any coffee lover. One thing to not is that there is no signage on the out side of the shop, but it’s right on the corner and just check out the photos on TA to make sure you find it. It is also not very far for montemarte, so is perfect for a little sit down after the long walk around montemarte.More
Great coffee in perfect location with friendly staff, sitting out taking in the view was one of the highlights of Paris.
