Don’t go here save your money food is not good at all. Steak don’t have flavor and bad quality of meat. They’re rude and racist. Steak was really hard and bad. They don’t speak English and they are rude.

This is one of the better French restaurants in the Latin quarters with a set menu. The escargots, salads and French onion soup were delicious. The mains were a fair size and tasty. The only thing was they ran out of was the chocolate fondant...which we were hoping to try. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Very sensitve to allergies and dietary restrictions.More

Our young family had dinner there many years ago while traveling. We returned again the next night after a very long day of walking, we were exhausted, the staff recognized us from the night before and treated us with such kindness. We were immediately seated...and given a chilled glass of wine. We were also treated to a lovely creme brûlé after dinner. Our daughter who is now a young adult is traveling and contacted us to ask for the name of the “restaurant that gave us the wine”. We looked through our pictures and found it, turns out she is staying just a few minutes away. Just got a message from her that she is there, having dinner. Good times! This is a belated thank you to everyone there who treated these weary travelers so well.More

We stopped for a light dinner and a glass of wine. My husband ordered the escargot and I got quiche with a salad. My husband enjoyed his escargot but my quiche was not very warm, the crust was not crisp and it was mostly flavorless....The salad was good but the waitress never stopped to ask how thinks were. We went in because the sign said $5e champagne but we were charged $8e per glass. I’m guessing there are better stops nearby.More

This is one of the typical restaurants in the area that offer a range of fixed menus at fixed prices. Three courses. The prices are good and the staff friendly. The onion soup is very good and the other meals we tried were good. All...the meals were of good quality. If you hesitate at the front and make out that you might not be interested then they will offer a free glass of wine.More

We have eaten here MANY times over the past few years. The menu for the price fixed meals is generous, for 16 Euros, you can choose an appetizer, main course, and a dessert ,you also get a small glass of wine. There are so many places...to eat in Paris, you can get frustrated trying to compare and choose at times. After a day of sight seeing,we know we can relax here and have a great meal.More

We are repeat customers having frequented the Hostellerie at least five times in the last six weeks. The food is good, the staff is friendly and prices are inexpensive given the area. Our friends and visitors who have accompanied us agree with our assessment and...have enjoyed themselves. Give it a try if you find yourself in the neighborhood.More

Where else in Paris can you get an amazing dinner (starter, entree, dessert, wine) for 16 euros?!? Small, cozy place, good food and friendly staff. The proximity of the Notre Dame helps as well.

If you've never experienced racelette before--you gotta do it! A wheel of cheese set up table side with a heat lamp and a platter of roasted potatos, onions and ham...crazy delicious melted goodness!

After comparing menu boards at three restaurants within a block, we chose to eat the three course menu for €16. Choosing the French onion soup was a good choice for the entry. It had both onions and French bread in it My main course choice...was a pasta with salmon sauce. Good enough. Dessert was chocolate mousse. And this all came with a glass of wine. In bistrot like setting, the tables were close together as seems to be normal in Paris when you pay under €20 for a meal. Wait staff was polite and did not rush us through the meal....a course was finished before the next course was served ...typical French style.More

Service was ok but quality of the food was very bad. I had the worst rumpsteak of my life there (like leather). Desert tasted like heated up discounter ware. Cleanliness was questionable - glasses were dirty and after I had to spit out an agglomeration...of hair during the desert, we left before finishing it.More

Cosy small bistro style restaurant towards the back of the main touristy drag of St Micheal. I came as a solo traveller on a busy Saturday before Christmas ordered from the more expensive 14.7 euro menu. Yes the Onion soup is granulated but is says...that on the menu and it tasted okay. Had the rump streak with chips and veg it was very nice and couple of glasses of the house red which were also nice. There was one waitress up front who was very attentive and friendly, there was another solo table behind and she made sure we both were served despite it being very busy. The atmosphere is cosy and for three courses two glasses of wine the bill came to 20 euros which is very good for Paris. Been coming to St Micheal for years it can be a tourist trap but this restaurant was great if you're realistic about what you're getting for your money.More

Ate from here ordered onion soup which was like beef stock and water with no onions in, then my main came which was a steak which I ordered medium rare it came well done so I sent it back, however all the chef did was...cook the same piece of steak more and give it me back burnt with the piece I had cut of earlier missing!! Absolute joke of a restaurant disgusting food staff are not competent enough to serve and cook for customers.its a health hazardMore
