Popular bistrot that serves classic French dishes at reasonable prices and a decent wine list. The walls are covered with older paintings, some of which are frescos and artists palates. The duck confit was delicious.

Having read poor reviews it was with trepidation we visited. The service, atmosphere, wine and food were faultless to us. Our waiter suggested a wine and also that we try hot honey on our goat’s cheese which was a fabulous taste sensation!!! We absolutely loved...More

We visited on a weekday afternoon with our two tween/teen children, exploring the area after a visit to Musee d'Orsay. What a pleasant surprise. The cafe is recommended by Rick Steves so I wasn't expecting it to feel like a "find" but it seemed to...More

Very popular spot for refreshment in the gallery district of the left bank. Okay food of a corner cafe type but large terrace with lots of spots for a rest and watch the passing parade

Really just a basic cafe that rests on past glories as a place frequented by famous painters. Old bistro decor is faded but charming and warm on a snowy afternoon. Basic bistro selections with nothing unique or outstanding. Quiche special was fine but the salad...More

Haha. It is a strange but well known affliction of many Parisians. Their mother's hated them, so in turn, they hate the tourists!

It is Paris and it is historical district, but it is pretty reasonable if you chose simple French wine which are very good . For two for a bottle of wine with a plate of cheese and cold wine it should not be more than 50€

I'm not sure they make reservations, but it doesn't serve food after 2pm. It does open for dinner later in the day.
