I came to this shop hoping for a delicious pastry and decided on the raspberry tart. It was really bad- the cream had NO flavor, tasted like whipped cream with no sugar added and not even a hint of tangy flavor- desperately needed lemon zest,...More

Perhaps the most famous shop on popular rue Montorgueil is Patisserie Stohrer. That's because Michael Stohrer, pastry chef for Louis XV of France, opened the place in 1730, which makes this the oldest patisserie in Paris. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon during a recent...More

Everything is overpriced. We were also told to pay more than the price written on the label. Staff was unfriendly and a bit rude. Pain au chocolat was ok but eclair was dry and tasteless. Read a lot of good reviews so maybe expectations were...More

First bakery in Paris definitely lives up to its reputation. The baked goodies here are amazing and worth a try if you're in Paris

Bought a couple of eclairs and macarons - have to say that all the desserts I tried there are scrumptious and affordable as well!

Visiting more than a few times when we were last in Paris. Croissant and pain chocolat for breakfast and then some excuse to visit again in the afternoon for a pastry. Everything you have heard is true. Their macarons are much better than Laduree.

I am not normally a big fan of macarons because I don't like the almond flavor. I lucked at this wonderful shop. The "gros" coffee flavored macaron was absolutely delicious! The filling was generous and I didn't detect any of the almond. I have had...More

Much is written about this place, of course I need to visit at least once. On Rue Montorgueil, not hard to find, small narrow shop, with crowds you have to squeeze yourself thru. Though the queue moved quickly and some staff spoke English well. Ordered...More

If it’s good enough for the Queen of England, then it must be good. Established nearly 300 years ago in 1730 makes this one of the oldest bakeries in Paris. Solid overall, better Chocolate then most. Get there early for a almond croissant before they...More
