Went there on Sunday around 3 PM, got seated right away but shortly after we saw loads of people actually queuing to get in. Service was a bit slow due to the high traffic of customers I guess, but we saw waiters literally running back and forth, it is a busy place. They have LOADS of types of coffee there,... More

If you are a coffee connoisseur or if you are just someone who enjoys the taste of coffee, you’ve got to try it! The place is not particularly fancy though it has that typical atmosphere of the French capital city. But the coffee will blow your mind (literally if you are sensitive to caffeine). They have a wide collection from... More

If you're looking for REAL coffee, this is the spot. Up there with other world class institutions such as Cape Town's Truth Coffee and Berlin's Father Carpenter, this place takes coffee very seriously and it's reflected in every cup. The location itself has a neat vibe, with a few different rooms with living room and dining room-like ambiance. Staff are... More

Visited a couple of times in Jan/Feb and enjoyed the coffee. Not enough sweets available and service is too slow.

Very special coffee shop in Paris. You can buy freshly grinded coffee of many different sorts. As well as have a good cup of coffee with a nice treat. We have ordered a brownie and a lemon tart with our coffees, both very tasty. The place has a great interior, especially the "tropical room" full of plants with a window... More

The café's interior was pleasantly busy and eclectic. The staff seemed to us a bit confused, but nice. Maybe cafe specializes exclusively in coffee, otherwise I can not explain the poor quality of the hot chocolate. It was hot milk with a little cocoa. Warmed us, but very disappointed. If it were presented as cocoa so be it, but as... More

My personal favourite coffee in all of paris! As you walk in you are hit with the fresh smell of roasted coffee beans and that only a complement to how the coffee tastes!

A perfectly crafted cappuccino, cosy sofa chair, good music and a open view of the street. Harder to find a better place to sit in peace just to enjoy a coffee and pastry. Or to read a good book. Or to catch up with a friend. The Parisien cafe and coffee experience I was looking for... :)

We had a coffee and a chai latte. Both were very good. The place is very popular and thus not at all relaxing; I felt like I was at a railway station cafeteria. The waiter remembered my cheesecake but forgot to bring the donut we ordered. It was an omen and we shouldn't have reminded him. When he finally brought... More

Really lovely, comfortable, cozy place. Proper for friends meeting or solo working. Good music and good view also. They're making their own coffee and I'm pretty sure that la cafeotheque is the best coffee place in Paris. Super tasty coffee and also super tasty croissant too. My favorite coffee is cafe cream.

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
