Had an evening meal here last Saturday with my partner when we were in Paris for the weekend for my birthday. the restaurant is located really close to the Crown Plaza Hotel. We had had a very large lunch in the middle of the day, and so felt like a lighter meal in the evening time. We stopped off here... More

My wife and I had a good meal. It seemed like a local place. I had the chef's special (pork loin) and my wife had the quarter chicken. Both had mashed potatoes and we got a basket of bread that was awesome! We shared the French toast dessert to complete the meal.

Worst dining experience of my life. The waitress appeared to be friendly and helpful but upon getting the bill she added a €7.50 tip to the card payment (the bill was €25.00 with service) without telling me and in a very sly way. When I noticed and challenged it she started saying how Paris does not have tips on the... More

Despite the really bad reviews, we've eaten often at this Paris, which is open 24/7. We'd always had excellent service and good food. No more. Great greeting. Nice table. Asian server was nice, but disappeared. Black server was just nasty and invisible. My onion soup (hardly a challenging choice), tasted like dishwater, with floor scrapings. After two spoons, I'd had... More

I went to Les Relais d'Alsace for a lae lunch with my friend from London that was visiting Paris for the second time. She tried the typical Flammekueche and loved it, she is vegetarian. I would recommend the salmon Flammekueche. Try the Alsatian wines also (white : Pinot Gris, Riesling). As for me I had meat, very good as well.... More

Stayed as a family in the Crown Plaza on the Place de la Republique - not wanting to venture too far on our first night and with serious doubts about the streets behind the hotel, we took a chance on this welcoming looking eaterie right by the hotel. Menu was sufficiently broad to accommodate adults and children's tastes. We actually... More

We went there for a small cake-break during our shopping trip through Les Halles shoppingmall. The applecake I've had was amazing good, and also the coffee and the service. We definitly would come back again.

The onion soup was good mix of the bread, cheese and onion. Not overwhelming. Escargot not that fantastic but still fine. The sausage and meat platter with sauerkraut sealed the deal. The best part, the staff even offered to reheat our meal. Very attentive staff indeed.

Visited the Republique square to pay our respects to those caught up in the Paris attacks. Suddenly it started really raining and we needed lunch so we went straight into this restaurant. There was a pleasant greeting and we were shown to a lovely little table by the window. We both had Croque Madame with French fries and salad. The... More

Brilliant sea food menu cooked fresh and to perfection. Very welcoming genuine service. Can't see what people are saying about the service lacking. Excellent all round would recommend and potentially return if ever in Paris again.

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
