I cannot vouch for the entrees here as I did not have a chance to partake, however, I can safely attest to the fact that this place serves wonderful desserts and very strong coffee. In other words, it's perfect if you have been walking all over Paris and your children are in desperate need of a break. The ice creams,... More

After a boat tour we were looking for a place to have a coffee and this restaurant draws you in with its location and authentic feel. We sat outside and were quickly served with honey and hot milk and an extremely strong and good coffee. We were not ripped off and the place is popular with locals and tourists alike.

We stopped here a number of times on a recent trip to Paris and were never disappointed. We always ate via the takeaway window outside, and the woman who runs the panini counter is quite a character. An older woman, a loud woman, but a very sweet and friendly lady, she's happy to serve you anything your heart desires. My... More

I've been here twice to eat the Argentinian Steak. The food is very good and the service is friendly. Recommended!

We have come to Paris often and have our favorites, on a whim, while crossing left bank to right bank just hiking by we popped into SO. Very nice experience. Like most Brasserie in Paris the wine pours are generous! We had a late afternoon charcuterie board, with cheese, that was unbelievably generous with numerous cheeses, meats, pate, small salad... We strolled in to Le Soleil D'or for breakfast our first morning in Paris after an overnight flight and were pleasantly surprised with the friendly staff. The Nutella crepes were awesome and the lady making them made some jokes with our child... Our waiter was also very friendly. This restaurant/cafe is great for a quick breakfast or snack!

Very good crêpes made at the moment. Really nice people working there. In 5 minutes I had my Nutella and banana crêpes ready to go! A bit expensive tho (5.50€), but it's in full city center next to Saint Chapelle and Seine, so I'd say they have "tourist prices".

Stopped by for lunch on cold winter day. Quite busy. Very cramped and had to basically pass plates across the table and almost to others behind us. Had French onion soup and snails as you would in Paris. Soup nice snails average. Price reasonable for central Paris.

Made with cognac was really delicious, just the job for a cold night. Great location near Notre Dame. Nice bit of banter with waiter who was typically parisian, not too fussed whether we were there or not but fair play to him he played his part in a nice pit stop. Catered for all ages and chips were good!
