_ever_! Nobody can cook duck breast that perfect. I also ate tuna tartar that really was to die for. My spouse was very happy with his choices as well. We've been in Paris a week and the waiter here gave us the best wine recommendations so far. Just go there and try it out - won't be disappointed.

We visited this place 3 times on our 2 week stay this time. This is one of our favourite places to eat in Paris. We took some friends of my mother in law's here on their last night in Paris. I recommend the beef bourguignon to them ( this is the best in Paris IMO) They had been travelling for... More

The only redeeming quality in our experience was the sweet attentive waiter. The meal was not that good at all. The Rose' was warm, the gazpacho was OK and the lobster salad that I had was terrible. The lobster was over-cooked, dry and rubbery and the lettuce was brown on the edges. My husband's Cod was decent. I so wish... More

After a full day out on tours and leaving Paris tomorrow, we decided to find some classic French cuisine before we left. We decided to walk around the corner and up the next street to see what we could find, a quaint rooster sign caught our eye in a laneway to the left. Wow, Wow, Wow.....had to wait about 10... More

We revisited this great little restaurant upon our return to Paris .. I had telephoned a reservation from Australia to ensure our booking. The manager and staff greeted us in a warm and friendly way and the great food and service was just as good as we remembered... I had the Beef Bourgignon and my wife had a Pasta dish.... More

Delightful room, great staff, wonderful food. You have got to try the hot Camembert with honey and the artichoke appetizers. I had the boeuf bourgignon and my family had the chicken. All of it was just wonderful. We came for a second time in the week and a half we were in Paris because it was so good.

We feel fortunate to have stumbled across this gem of a restaurant. After glancing down the quiet street, we spied 2 patrons waiting for a table glass in hand chatting on the cobbles. The posted menu and setting inside tempted s to do the same and have a glass of red for 10 minutes waiting for a table. Others arrived... More

Recommended by our hotel, we were able to get in at 7:00p when it usually requires reservations; within 30 minutes this place was full of locals. We immediately felt at home due to the warm greeting at the door --Alors! We were seated at a cozy table next to a window and view of a garden. We were offered a... More

Visited twice to this restaurant . Food very tasty and reasonable. Staff very friendly. Just one word of caution, if you like your personal space, this place is very typical of Paris, up close and personal with the next table. I couldn't get up to use the bathroom without the table being pulled out and we were virtually touching elbows... More

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
