All reviews gratinee potatoes salad chicken ham ratatouille bread au gratin notre dame comfort food their specialty from the oven neighborhood place prices are very reasonable worth the wait spoke english small place
Very good portions for a good price. Location over looking the Seine and Notre Dame. Perhaps the terrace is not ideal so close to a somewhat busy street. Also make sure to check on The Fork app for discount! We had 20% off!!
Highly recommended!! I travel to Paris almost every/every other month and this is always a stop I decide to make. The owner is lovely and the food is fabulous. The gratin is delicious it’s their specialty here too. Nice atmosphere as well if you’re looking...for that genuine Parisian restaurant feel. Again highly recommended and can’t suggest this more if I could give it 10 stars I would.More
Came here on our last night in Paris and we ordered the traditional Gratin which was delicious and much better than I had expected, having never tried it before! I ordered the salmon gratin and my partner ordered the chicken, both of which we highly...recommend! Staff were lovely and it’s right next to the Seine with a great view!More
This is THE place in Paris to come for gratin potatoes. They have a big selection to choose from...gratin with bacon, with duck, and more. The flavours were spectacular.
If gratin potatoes aren’t your thing, they also have salads and toasted bread with different toppings....Good wine menu and friendly staff. Great value for Paris. If we’d stayed a few more days, we’d definitely have visited again.More
Wow, wow, wow! Went in for late lunch Sat 8th Feb, just enough room to squeeze in my wife and I. It was very busy. I read about the gratins on here so thought I’d try. Great portion size, lovely rustic bread accompaniment, Great choice...of white wines. The highlight was the gratins, we had duck, and chicken. We enjoyed it so much, we booked and went back 2 days later with the rest of the family. Everyone agreed, best food we tasted all week. Great place, nice people, will be back for sure. Stay safe xMore
I have honestly never had such rude service in my whole life. Visited on my 30th birthday after a surprise trip to Paris. Of course, the waiter did not know that, but don’t think that would have changed his attitude! We went in early after...reading the (largely) positive reviews on here. We politely asked if they were serving - he just threw two menus down onto a table, which we then had to pull out to sit at. In hindsight we should have left then. After a quick peruse he came over to the table - he didn’t exactly ask us want we wanted, but obviously
to take our order. My boyfriend asked for a bottle of wine and pointed at the menu to which he replied ‘which one, you’re pointing at two’ in a really rude manner. We said we needed a bit longer to order and he again left without saying anything. We decided then to leave. Never experienced anything like it and do not feel the food, no matter how good, could have counterbalanced it.More
After the long flight from Seattle to Paris we needed something warm and full of comfort. We had the scallop potatoes with ham as well as a salad. The food was wonderful. It was a small place with two guys, one in the kitchen and...one providing service. The food and service were awesome. Just what we needed after our long travel dayMore
We had dinner here for our first night in Paris, after we wandered around for a while looking for a place to eat something typical.
The staff, 2 young guys, speak English and were very nice to us, we were served pretty quickly and paid...a fair price for what we got.
We shared a starters platter which was quite good, it was made of a mix of typical products like cheese, cold meat and fois gras, with salad in the center.
We got the cheese gratins, I got a simple one with bacon and my fiancé got the duck one, both were very good!
The house wine and dessert were also quite nice.
The restaurant itself is small so if you plan to go on a busy time you might want to make a reservation, but we went at 8pm circa on a Sunday and had no issues.
They also have a few tables outside but it was very cold when we visited and preferred to stay inside.
Very nice overall and I would recommend to stop by if you are looking for a nice dinner in Paris, the menu is easy to understand and in 2 languages, we were quite happy.More
