delicious creative well priced tasty dishes coupled with good wine. service is very good. no reservations. you would not eat there for quantity but for the tasting. this is a place for gourmets. If you are after a big portion you should try another place.

There are a couple of different parts to this establishment -- a restaurant, a wine bar, and a take-away part. We were in the wine bar. The wine was good, as was the food. But it was crowded. If you like sitting at shared tables, you'll have no problem. If not...

We just spent 6 weeks traveling in Europe and had a variety of very nice meals. This was, by far, the best. Four of us had the "chef's surprise" tasting menu. One in the party had dietary restrictions (no dairy and no seafood) and the restaurant was able to easily accommodate. We had a leisurely evening meal that was just... More

I first came to Frenchie's 2 years ago. I was at another wine bar and one of the guests, a Brit, drew me a map and said you must go. It is small with communal seating so you have to be in to that type of vibe. The staff while incredibly busy are very kind and attentive. I have really... More

Arrived relatively early (7pm) on a Saturday evening with my family and were seated immediately. The set up is very informal, so if you want comfy chairs, space and a huge menu - look elsewhere. Bar stools and long tables which are shared with other diners is the order of the day. We weren't phased by any of this, and... More

Good place to have a glass of wine or two with some delicious snacks. Great beef tartar and tempura zucchini flowers. A bit crammed sharing long tables with strangers but apart from that really great atmosphere and quite popular with locals too.

My husband and I ate at several restaurants on our recent 4 day stay in Paris. While we enjoyed many of them, the one that stood out most was Frenchie. To begin with, the food is fantastic. There were many courses and every one of them was exciting … inventive, tasty and beautifully presented. We learned only at the last... More

This critically acclaimed gem has earned its place as a top culinary stop in a city packed with great restaurants. The restaurant seats only about 20 making it quite special. So in such a small space the service is welcoming, attentive and you can feel like part of the family. The cuisine is divine with each dish specially and carefully... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
