My husband and I ate at several restaurants on our recent 4 day stay in Paris. While we enjoyed many of them, the one that stood out most was Frenchie. To begin with, the food is fantastic. There were many courses and every one of them was exciting … inventive, tasty and beautifully presented. We learned only at the last... More

This critically acclaimed gem has earned its place as a top culinary stop in a city packed with great restaurants. The restaurant seats only about 20 making it quite special. So in such a small space the service is welcoming, attentive and you can feel like part of the family. The cuisine is divine with each dish specially and carefully... More

I had dinner at frenchie with my mom and we were both delighted, both from the atmosphere and the food! The mix of of the mostly casual ambient and the very fine food is great and i think the veau was one of the best i ever had...and also the aubergine...and the dessert too! I'd say that the menue was... More

Unforgettable. Impossible to get a seat without a reservation but well worth any wait. The tasting menu was incredible and it just kept besting its last dish. So many incredible different flavours. This is the place to be.

My husband and I had a most wonderful experience at Frenchie on June 22. The food was exquisite, thoughtful, creative and delicious. What made our great meal exceptional was the warmth and professionalism of the kitchen and front of the house staff. The sommelier Megan in particular was great fun and her pairing suggestions were spot on! She helped introduce... More

Had our hotel book our reservation exactly 30 days prior to our arrival. We did the second seating, which we were told would give us a more authentic feel since we would be dining with mostly locals, as they tend to eat later than us Americans. This definitely seemed to be the case and we enjoyed being right in the... More

Frenchie has pre fix menus for both lunch and dinner. We could not get at dinner reservation so went for lunch. It is tucked on a small street in a vibrant neighborhood and was a wonderful treat in between all of our 'tourist' activity. The staff was extremely friendly and the good was some of the best we have ever... More

This was supposed to be the highlight meal of our entire trip. We heard and read wonderful things and knew we had to make a reservation. I felt like I won the jackpot, but now instead, I feel like a total sucker. Everything went awry from the get-go. I give her my name, the host seats us, but minutes later,... More

This a restaurant for foodies and for gourmands. Some of the most creative food anywhere. Beautifully presented and full of exotic flavors. It is a very small space, maybe seats 25, and the two seatings per night come with a fixed 5 course menu plus many "extra" amuse-bouches. Adjustments can be made for allergies. Just surrender and sit back and... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
