Once upon a time there were Alban, Julien, Laurent, Erwann and Nicolas five foodies, five real foodies, of the worst kind (the one that would 'kill' for an old-fashioned Blanquette of veal with some homemade chips or a sweet Tarte Tatin decorated with whipped cream).Five gourmets, basically amateurs, but who knew WHAT IS REALLY GOOD. Five nostalgics with bittersweet memories of their mum's cooking, simple and tasty at the same time, the one with real products, the one that you long for, the one that tastes GOOD... Yummy yummy...

In summary this is the story of five mothers' sons who, because they like to eat and to eat right, got together to give birth to THEIR own restaurant, the one where the food is SIMPLY GOOD. And if you need to check that our food is GREAT, those four mummys' boys invite you to join them at 7 bis rue Geoffrey Marie, 9th district. NB: Lovers of deep-frozen food and canned peas are not welcome.

The gourmet and authentic food is more efficient than whichever time-machine, and dives into a wonderful nostalgia...

Great french restaurant!

Lovely meal and service - Chicken en croute and pork with pasta risotto both lovely meals. Portions I found a little on the large side. Only thing I found was menu to me was a little small. Cafe Gourmand my friend had was also lovely!

Les Fils à Maman is the perfect place to enjoy very good food and is the perfect ambiance that will remind you beautiful memories of your childhood if you were born in the 80's! I've been there twice already and I tried their Filet trop mignon and their cordon bleu. Both dishes were absolutely divine! I also tried their fondant... More

The place is really small but very particular, just a bit dark, some more lights in a way that u can read the menu would not be a bad idea. The staff is amazing, nice and willing to understand any type of clients ( even our bad French mixed with Italian), some of them speak English so.. The only two... More

Okay food for tourist who wish to try some french cuisines. At least service was great. Didn't enjoy the confined dining area though

There are loads of lovely looking restaurants in this area but we chose this for lunch because it looked a bit funky and fun. The food was fine but the service was grumpy to the point of being off-putting. The tables have what look likes a fun dot-to-dot on the paper tablecloth and (as kids do) my 10and 8yr old... More

Went to this little restaurant in Paris with 3 colleagues. I thought the service was pretty slow and not particularly attentive. I had the filet mignon on a bed of pasta (which was supposed to be risotto but it was not) and chorizo. Maybe I picked the wrong dish but I did not think it was that great. I actually... More

A tiny bistro hidden away from the busy street. Wonderful home-cooked food and very warm and friendly service. The little courtyard was perfect for eating outside on a sunny day and the steak tartare was delicious! Not at all touristy.

My husband and I walked into this place on a rainy Saturday evening. Unfortunately for us the tables were all booked with dinner reservations. The environment was so on point and welcoming so we decided to stay for a drink and a small bite at the bar. I am so glad we did! The bartender was very talented and you... More

We ordered the shrimp gambas - delicious but pricy, the cordon bleu - loved it, and the filet mignon- very good! Staff are kind and found us a table even though we didn't have a reservation and the place was full! They speak English well and are attentive.. Plus they gave us free gummy bears with dessert :) would definitely... More

Had one of the best nights of my life in this tiny neighborhood restaurant. Delicious French comfort food served in a crowded, snug environment. But it's the real thing. One of the most romantic restaurants I've ever discovered by chance. My favourite place in Paris. Everyone in here was French so bring your phrasebook. But if you make the effort... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
