Reasonable location with plenty of space and prompt service. Menu limited and lacking in anything sophisticated, but a little below the normal bistro bar level. Food came a little too quickly for my liking and seemed rather dry.

I often say it's hard to find a bad meal in Paris, but we finally did. Stopped in for dinner tonight and were very disappointed. The chicken was tough, the salad a pile of shredded iceberg lettuce and a few garnishes. 10 euro for a 50cl 1664 (French beer) is about double the going rate. The staff was friendly, but... More

Skip this place unless you are on your watch. Our first time in Paris and the waiter (Oliver) asked if we wanted water. We said yes. The bill for the water was $8 euros!!!!! He could have told us this but he didn't. Kind of soured us on French waiters. Our daughter wanted crepes with strawberries. The crepe was $6... More

Typical Parisian cafe on Blvd. Montparnasse around corner from where we are staying. Good reasonably priced food, friendly service. Not for fine dining but excellent for casual meal. Wide selection of dishes.

Had a quick meal our first night. Sandwiches and salads are fine; drinks reasonably priced. Indoor and outdoor seating on Montparnasse Blvd.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
