There are so many choices by the Seine that we were lucky (hat tip to our fellow reviewers, to whom we add our chorus) to find Le T. The food is excellent, the professional service decidedly friendly, and if the 2007 Lussac is still on the menu then go for that, too. Two dishes that stood out for us were... More

Well located good food and kind service. Not a stared restaurant either, but they don't pretend it is.

I went here with my friends and the waitress spoke very good English, they also had menu in English. She was so friendly and nice, on top of that, the food was amazing. It's very french and it is a reasonable price considering and quality of the food and the location itself (right next to notre dame). The dessert that... More

My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant on an evening when they were slammed. The only waitress was taking care of about 7 tables, two of which were 12 tops. Our service was still the best we had the entire time we were in Paris. The chef/owner served most of our plates to us with a smile and we thoroughly... More

Nice and original food. Service is good, and price not too high (for Paris standard). We got there running away from touristic places and we had a very pleasant evening. Starters are not too big, so do not hesitate in asking for the full menu!

The atmosphere was so friendly! Good food, - perfect location across from Notredame. We were so happy to be there. A truly great French bistro. The food was amazing and the hostes was energetic and with a smile and energy really lit up the little bistro. During the meal the chef also came out to see that everything was good.... More

Le Tournebièvre, modest in appearance yet rich in fine cuisine and Parisian ambiance, is well worth a detour to experience the inventive and flavorful cooking of chef Christian Gailliard. It is situated in the 5th arr. on quai de la Tournelle facing Ile St. Louis. We came late after a concert at Notre Dame and, despite the fact there were... More

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food, wine list and service was exceptional. We were so impressed by everything. When we arrived we were welcomed as if we were family or close friends. The menu, though not extensive, had something for all tastes. For appetizers I ordered the poached egg with foie gras and black pudding (superb) and my daughter... More

Lovely evening here with my daughter for her 18 birthday. Friendly service, delicious meal prepared with care and a great location...my favourite in Paris! Thanks for another special evening.

Description
On the banks of the Seine, moments from Paris' Ile de la Cite and within easy reach of Paris' most celebrated landmarks is Le Tournebièvre restaurant . The first thing that will undoubtedly strike you about the restaurant (formerly Le Rencard Gourmand) is the breathtaking view across the river. But quite apart from the fairytale setting, Le Tournebièvre is special in its own right. Its classic French bistro cuisine is hugely popular with locals so it provides a real Parisian experience, quite apart from the usual tourist-version of Parisian dining. The simple bistro interior is accompanied, in the summer months, with pavement dining under a wide, shady awning. The traditional French menu is created using fine, seasonal ingredients, with a wide choice for all tastes. And, sacre bleu, the service at Le Tournebièvre is both professional and genuinely friendly.

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
