We arrived at the restaurant around 6:30pm having seen positive reviews online (without these we probably would not have noticed it as it was far quieter and smaller than surrounding restaurants). We were greeted by a friendly woman who brought us warm baguette and quickly...More

This has been my favourite place so far in France. Outside the building doesn't look anything special, but the service, food and ambience are excellent. Delicious food and the lady waitress looked after our family perfectly leading us out onto the outside tables. Really pleased...More

Perhaps my expectations were increased by reviews here. We did really enjoy it and the sauces, as others have said, were good, made in house, but the presentation was not memorable. Desserts are excellent, but again, the presentation is a bit chaotic to my eye....More

French cooking is about the sauces, and the sauces on my steak and my wife's duck was superb. Her snails were outstanding. My chocolate lava cake was wonderful too. All at a very reasonable price with excellent service. The duck was a bit dry, but...More

The wait person was so nice and very knowledgeable about what was in the food for my husband with celiac's. She had a great sense of humor and was tolerant of me knowing no French. Food and wine were delicious and priced well. Great dinner...More

Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the
residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon
never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional
cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets
surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide
eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just
next door and the prototypical terraced French
brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this

On the banks of the Seine, moments from Paris' Ile de la Cite and within easy reach of Paris' most celebrated landmarks is Le Tournebièvre restaurant . The first thing that will undoubtedly strike you about the restaurant (formerly Le Rencard Gourmand) is the breathtaking view across the river. But quite apart from the fairytale setting, Le Tournebièvre is special in its own right. Its classic French bistro cuisine is hugely popular with locals so it provides a real Parisian experience, quite apart from the usual tourist-version of Parisian dining. The simple bistro interior is accompanied, in the summer months, with pavement dining under a wide, shady awning. The traditional French menu is created using fine, seasonal ingredients, with a wide choice for all tastes. And, sacre bleu, the service at Le Tournebièvre is both professional and genuinely friendly.
