Five star in all aspects! We read about this brilliant restaurant on Tripadvisor, and we were not disappointed when we tried it! Really nice location, perfect and very kind service, and the food...OMG!! Just amazing! All those flavours, really nicely presented, very delicious, just FANTASTIC! That fish soup with that rouille on croutons, that gambas, that smoked goat cheese tartine,... More

I would love to give this a great review: the location is lovely, the restaurant charming, the hostess/waitress warm and welcoming but it comes down to the food and it was a bit on the heavy side without what ever it takes to make heavy food really great. The question I always ask myself - would you come back? the... More

This unassuming spot in view of the Notre Dame presented the most sumptuous selection for dinner. The knowledgeable waitperson matched our dinners with perfect wine and chose a most delightful and appropriate to our dinners dessert and wine pairing as well. This place is a must for those wishing an authentic bistro experience with delightful staff. BRAVO!!!

Nice staff, great service and food. I had the steak and wine and my partner had the vegetarian option which she thoroughly enjoyed.

I'd booked us into Le Tournebievre for a romantic meal on our night in Paris and have to say that I was relieved and impressed with having chosen this restaurant off the back of the TripAdvisor reviews. My girlfriend needs gluten free food and the menu had these options clearly marked and several options available. The menu also had some... More

Booked and confirmed reservations through the Fork. 20 euro cab ride later, they said they did not have any, no room and too bad. Please go somewhere else. Do not recommend

Too often, resturants with a view of Notre Dame end up being tourist traps but not Le Tournebievre. Named after the street it is on, this small place has excellent and creative cuisine. The chef came out of the kitchen to check if the food was good with the patrons. AND the waitress was one of the best we've been... More

Description
On the banks of the Seine, moments from Paris' Ile de la Cite and within easy reach of Paris' most celebrated landmarks is Le Tournebièvre restaurant . The first thing that will undoubtedly strike you about the restaurant (formerly Le Rencard Gourmand) is the breathtaking view across the river. But quite apart from the fairytale setting, Le Tournebièvre is special in its own right. Its classic French bistro cuisine is hugely popular with locals so it provides a real Parisian experience, quite apart from the usual tourist-version of Parisian dining. The simple bistro interior is accompanied, in the summer months, with pavement dining under a wide, shady awning. The traditional French menu is created using fine, seasonal ingredients, with a wide choice for all tastes. And, sacre bleu, the service at Le Tournebièvre is both professional and genuinely friendly.

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
