After a long day walking around Paris I just wanted a quick meal to take back to my room. It is on the same street as my hotel at the end of the block. I got a pizza to go. It was ok, it wasn't sliced so I had to tear it apart in my room.

Don't waste your time in this place if you really love italian food. Further, the wine list is poor.

Their pizza were fresh to order and delicious!! I also tried a seafood pasta and it was just as fresh! The atmosphere is fine dining and comfortable! Pretty pricey but the pizzas were the cheapest on the menu and good portion for one person!

This was a regular stop during my extended stay. The food was perfect, and the staff was warm and friendly. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

We stopped for lunch after visiting Cluny Museum. Very nice lunch. We went back later in the visit and had dinner. Another nice experience.

My boss had told me good things about Il Pescatore so my friends and I decided to go there during our vacation in France and try its Italian food. It was a wonderful experience! The place is nice (not fancy, but cosy) and the pasta is just splendid! I've heard the pizza is also good, but I haven't tried it.... More

Had spaghetti bolognese which was bland and essentially ground meat in tomato sauce. Service was prompt and attentive

My daughter and I had dinner at this restaurant last week. We ordered a pasta dish and a salad (the pizza looked really good). Service was quick and accurate. The food was good for the most part, except that the salad seemed to lack enough dressing and there wasn't enough of it for the 10 Euro charge. Still, Il Pescatore... More

Il Pescatore was just across from my hotel in Paris (Moderne St-Germain). I was really tired one evening and didn't feel like walking far, so I decided to have Italian food in Paris! I was very pleased with the food and service at Il Pescatore. I had Veal Milanese that was very nicely done, accompanied by pasta that was also... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
