Walked by it on our way to the Arc de Triomphe one afternoon and decided to return and try it out. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Amazingly he had to serve and also take out the orders for delivery people to pick up....We went with some of basic Tikka masalas and Kormas dishes and my Lamb Korma was superbly buttery with a little heat and really liked the pistachios and cashews in the dish. The chicken Tikka was also very tasty. I imagine they could make it more spicy but the heat and spice were just right for us. Great place for dinner and drinks as suggested by others.More
Very authentic Indian (northern) cuisine, very welcome on a rather cold spring day. Place is rather cramped, but this seems the norm for Paris.
I found an offer on TripAdvisor (the fork) and decided to try it... When I arrived, a 🏍 prevented me from parking the car so I went to the restaurant asking for who it was and the great waiter was friendly enough to help me...moving the motorbike :):):) Now concerning food it was good, and the waiter accepted all requests I had (including a new Lassi flavor :)) Note: i join you pictures of meals and the menu, if it helps you take a decision please click on “help” down this commentMore
We were craving Indian food when we stumbled across Sanna. We ordered the vegetarian dish and chicken vindaloo. Both dishes were very falvourful and tasted amazing. The host was very friendly and happily parted with his knowledge of Paris. Great little restaurant.
Family of 6 had dinner at New Sanna. The whole experience was pretty poor. Instead of plain water we got served 2 bottles of Evian (12EUR). We got 5 main dishes and had to wait 5 more minutes for the last dish and rice. In...the mean time our food which was not warm at the serving time, got even colder. The portions were the smallest I have ever seen (and I ate Indian food all over the world). Regular portion contained 4(!) cubes of meat. Even the ones who had the full 3-course menu were still hungry after dinner. Taste was nothing special. I would not recommend this restaurant at all. The service was disturbing as they gather the plates while we were still eating, picking up one plate and others were left on the table.More
We love Indian food and wanted something different than French so we picked this restaurant close to where we were staying. The owner was very friendly but had us waiting awhile to order drinks while he spent time on the phone. We ordered the butter...chicken. We have eaten this dish many times in many different Indian restaurants. This version was quite unlike any other we have had in that it lacked tomato in the sauce and the butter was not apparent. It also lacked spice (as in hotness). We were not asked how spicy we wanted it so we assumed it would be medium spicy. It had no heat at all. The rest of the meal (pakoras, naan and samosas) were not memorable.More
We found Sanna by accident, after wandering around the streets between the Arc de Triomphe and Moulin Rouge. We were actually looking for a small, French bistro or brasserie, but because it was Easter Monday and a public holiday, most places out of the main...tourist streets were closed. Fortunately, Sanna was open, we love Indian food...and we were hungry! We ordered the Chicken Tikka and Sheesh Kebab, along with the Daal Saag, accompanied by rice, naan, raita and the usual pickles, etc. Both the tikka and the kebab were cooked to perfection...tasty, tender and succulent...my partner argues that these were the best he's tasted anywhere, including India, although the servings were a little smaller than is usual. The Daal Saag, which we asked to very spicy, was just delicious...and the accompaniments perfectly suited the "feast." The service was also attentive, helpful and friendly, making the whole experience a delightful surprise, as we weren't expecting to find good Indian cuisine in Paris. The meal, which we topped off with 25cls each of the house vin (rouge and blanc) was also reasonably priced, coming in at €40 all up. Note that it is a small place and apparently can get very busy on "normal" Mondays and Fridays.More
