I read the reviews - they were good. The place isn't that smart, but I quite like that. The small dining room we were shown into was really quite rough. If more of the bulbs had been working the lighting would have been too bright....As it was, it was still possible to make out the tatty furnishings that looked as though they had come from a skip. The incredibly slow service meant that I had to go and get our drinks from the bar (they had been sitting there for 10 minutes but the only waiter was working outside). The food was dreadful. I had a fatty lamb shank with something that was meant to be mushroom risotto but looked like bad porridge. My wife had just ordered risotto - it really was awful. We moved the "food" around but didn't eat. Another member of our party ate his fish and chips and was ill for the next 24 hours. I like cheap, quirky French bars - but this was beyond the limit. I very rarely give bad reviews, but this place deserved it. Do yourself a favour - go somewhere else.More
Had a few drinks in here on way to restaurant, very friendly and good atmosphere . Would recommend. We did not eat but food looked good that we saw.
A great find on a sunny afternoon. The perfect place to watch the world go by, Really good salads - the Parisienne was the best for us. Good service and not expensive. Recommended
A quirky and charming neighborhood bar, full of friendly patrons. I was there for Agnes' last night, and was made to feel so welcome by the regulars. I'll definitely go back whenever I return to Paris!
Just stopped in after a very long cold walk for a hot chocolate and oh my god it was worth it as it was the best I’ve ever had. Nice little friendly place full of artists and bohemians all ages young to old.
Visited here on the recommendation of a guide book. Very good confit of duck and excellent wine. We were the only English people there but we were made very welcome and other customers talked to us and asked about our trip. Thoroughly recommend this place...for a real taste of Paris.More
Price more than reasonable, the cheapest neighborhood perfect for parties. Very nice bar with frescoes on the bar. Personnel charming and very pleasant to small care.
We stopped in for a lunch one afternoon because we stayed in the area. Glad we did, the staff was really friendly and the food was very good. Not disappointed! Great burgers! Give them a try!
Delicious burger, fries and charcuterie . Staff tried to speak English since I don't speak French, even though the everyone else did.
