One of very few buffet style restaurants in Paris can be good if you choose right as most meals are good with help yourself chips and vedg bad point mussels my girlfriend got was cold!!! (I know nothing about these things) The guy doing the burgers and stakes is a superstar and wine starts from 3.95 euros for 0.5 litre...... More

Really cheap menus with food cooked in front of you (not previously prepared and heated up), great variety of products (desserts, main dishes, ice creams) and free service of french fries, vegetables, souce, pasta, etc.

Popped in for a drink and ice cream. Food is self-service style - looked OK and the prices seemed very reasonable for Paris. If we hadn't eaten lunch earlier, we certainly would have had it here. There were around 10 flavours of ice cream to choose from at €2 for 3 scoops. Well worth a visit when taking a break... More

Food ok once we had got our head around how it all worked but some of the staff (particularly the manager) were incredibly rude. We will never go back.

This is an excellent self-service restaurant, right next to the Pompidou centre (metro Rambuteau). Steaks etc. are cooked fresh when ordered, other food is pre-cooked and there is a microwave in the table area should you need to heat anything up. A chance to try authentic French food at cheap prices. Just one minus - there is a free water... More

We could choose from chicken or fish, I choose chicken, it didn't look to bad until I noticed it was covered in hairs, they weren't human hairs they were chicken hairs. When I cut open the chicken it was mainly just bone and what wasn't bone was brown lumps of well I don't know. If your coming here with your... More

We ordered steak "bleu" which is supposed to mean rare. They were stewed virtually well done. Very disappointing.. The free salads are over cooked and soggy. Wine was OK and only E3.90 for 500ml.

Flunch is the best secret in Paris for eat as much as you want vegetables and very good prices for roast chicken or a burger pattie. Pay fastfood prices for a sit-down meal. Menus are shown in pictures and French only but easy to understand as the pictures explain the combos and prices.

This is a nice place if you're tired of paying a lot for your every meal. Of course, the food is not great, but I wouldn't say it is awful either. And you can eat a lot with all-you-can-eat buffet with all kinds of vegetables and fries (everything is too heavy, though). The cashier cheated us on 1,5 euros, which... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
