I read a lot of good about this place, but what I saw there that's different than other people's opinions. Poor buffet with the usual weak food. No one spoke English, the people working there were unfriendly. I left "the restaurant" after a few minutes without placing an order. I do not recommend

I like the concept of the food. so you do not take much food and then not able to finish it. You can chose the meat you want, they have beef, chicken and fish, then you go and pay at the counter. Now only you can enter into the eat all you can area, with 7- 10 choice of vegetable,... More

When I have a free day I always come here for my dose of kcal. It's cheap, filling, and I don't need any more food for the rest of the day. While my stomach digest the food, their excellent wifi keeps me busy until the pig within me is ready for the next serving. The cote de l'os is a... More

This restaurant was chosen for us by a school tour operator. In all my years of eating at restaurants I have never come across one as despicable as this place. The staff were extremely rude and unfriendly. Perhaps there was a language barrier but whenever I tried to speak french with them they simply shouted louder in English! We had... More

As part of my School Tour to Paris, Flunch was prepaid in advanced. We arrived for dinner and was greeted with extremely RUDE staff! We were then told in French about the deal that was paid for, this deal was to get 1. Roast Chicken which was just bones. 2. Breaded Fish which had no taste and 3. Steak which... More

One of very few buffet style restaurants in Paris can be good if you choose right as most meals are good with help yourself chips and vedg bad point mussels my girlfriend got was cold!!! (I know nothing about these things) The guy doing the burgers and stakes is a superstar and wine starts from 3.95 euros for 0.5 litre...... More

Really cheap menus with food cooked in front of you (not previously prepared and heated up), great variety of products (desserts, main dishes, ice creams) and free service of french fries, vegetables, souce, pasta, etc.

Popped in for a drink and ice cream. Food is self-service style - looked OK and the prices seemed very reasonable for Paris. If we hadn't eaten lunch earlier, we certainly would have had it here. There were around 10 flavours of ice cream to choose from at €2 for 3 scoops. Well worth a visit when taking a break... More

Food ok once we had got our head around how it all worked but some of the staff (particularly the manager) were incredibly rude. We will never go back.

This is an excellent self-service restaurant, right next to the Pompidou centre (metro Rambuteau). Steaks etc. are cooked fresh when ordered, other food is pre-cooked and there is a microwave in the table area should you need to heat anything up. A chance to try authentic French food at cheap prices. Just one minus - there is a free water... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
