I stopped here early (They open at 6 p,m,), and found the bar filled with locals who seemed be regulars. The owner was very friendly and offered me an extra glass of wine on him after I finished my meal. I had the “solo” mezzes...which were enough for a light meal. I imagine the restaurant fills up later with diners since the French eat after 7:30 p,m, but for Americans looking for an early dinner, this cozy place is ideal.More

Great personality, both the place itself and the proprietor, Edouard. Came in on a busy Saturday night, he was very flexible in seating us anyway. Never had Lebanese before, he relied on his help and was not disappointed. Food was very good, service quick and...very attentive and everybody around was having fun. Nice musical background again. Nice find in the Bastille area.More

What a wonderful restaurant! Whether you choose Lebanese or Brazilian fare, you will delight in extremely well-prepared, seasoned and aromatic dishes. My wife had a coconut infused Brazilian fish dish, my son had a beautifully prepared Brazilian chicken dish, and his companion and I both...had delicious Lebanese fare. The proprietor, Edouard Chueke, could not have been more helpful and informative as he assisted us with our selections. He is truly devoted to the craft of preparing and presenting food that pleases the palate as well as the eye. The restaurant decor is modest and unassuming; the food, however, is sumptuous. In fact, our meals were some of the best we have had in Paris. This is a restaurant definitely worth visiting.More

Apart the friendly atmosphere, the joy of feeling among friends, L'Area also has a fusion menu between Lebanon and Brazil, excellent. Simple and excellent.

Had brunch there, consisting of several different dishes with high quality food. Wine and juice was included. Reasonable priced.

A cozy little gem of a restaurant, which feels like you've been invited for dinner at a friend's place. Warm atmosphere, nice mixture of locals and travellers, and superb hospitality. Strongly advise to try the cheviche, and the caipirinhas are also great. If you're a...tourist in Paris, and want to feel like a local who knows where they're going, you'd be lucky to end up at L'Area!More

We went to this resturant because we would like to try something different. The service is very kind and warm. The food is a combination of Brazilian and Lebanese. We were offered an kettle of white scoffee after dinner. A gem worth to visit.

A warm welcome from owner Eduard and his co-workers who are all seemingly happily quite delirious in their work. Eduard advised "I am opening a place in London too (Crouch End - although I've never heard it pronounced quite that way before, kind of Crox...Enui). We ordered a bottle of Argentine Malbec - "No, I will bring you something better for the same price. And he did and it was a very nice blend of Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Cab Sav! We weren't ravenous and so settled for the Mezze for two - an interesting blend of aubergine, humous, falafel with tabouleh accompanied by flat bread - very good! The atmosphere was buzzy and a blend of locals and tourists. Eduard appeared to know some of them very well, almost too well in one case! "This place is ...... brilliant" said Eduard "I had 200 people in here over the weekend". Must have shifted industrial quantities of humous I would imagine!More

We were headed to the Opera at La Bastille, but needed something in our stomachs first after a day of walking all over Paris. Area L' was not officially open yet (it was around 6pm) but the owner graciously brought us in, seated us, and...got the kitchen in gear to prepare a light meal of salad and grilled meats for us. It was all just exactly what we needed. The space is charming and I can only imagine how warm and fun it feels when filled with people. We will most definitely return here, and recommend it highly to others in search of an interesting meal, a bit off the beaten track, in Paris.More
