We were three friends on a friday evening having dinner at Glou. We were very cordially received. The place is rustic and charming. The waitors attentive. We started of with oysters - good - and a plate of cheeses which were delicious. For mains we tried the tartar, the burger and the duck. All the dishes were well seasoned. The... More

My mom and I just loved this restaurant. Classic French food that was incredibly tasty. The eggs in my salad were so fresh and the duck was delicious. My mom's pork chop was melt in your mom and she loved her starter salad. The service was amazing and we really appreciated our waiter who translated the French menu into English... More

I was taken by a friend to this restaurant for good French food. He knows it well because he lives in the neighbourhood. What a great experience. Enjoyed the food immensely (razor clams for entrée and duck for mains) and the white house wine. Staff were super friendly and helpful. What a gem of a place. Will definitely go back.

Amazing food, service, wine selection and great value! Found this spot thanks to the G spotting app by Gwyenth Paltrow. Restaurant is definitely French bistro style of cooking, yet the space is very hipster trendy and urban chique. Very unique dishes with lots of flavour. The staff were superb and all very friendly and spoke English very well. Helped me... More

Glou is a very cozy little restaurant in the heart of the beautiful Marais district. I had an excellent cheese platter for lunch and it was perfect. We also saw that they have a great variety of wines, interesting for dinner.

My wife and I had dinner here on the first night of our annual pre-Christmas trip to Paris. We had booked, as it was a Saturday night, and judging by the number of people turned away while we were dining, this was clearly a wise move. We received a warm welcome and the waiter was very happy to indulge my... More

We came across this restaurant late at night and they graciously took us in as their last customer. The service was fabulous. The food and wine were good and reasonably priced, especially considering the nice ambiance at a premium location.

Had lunch here on a beautiful day in summer with the doors and windows all open, which makes any Parisian restaurant seem great, but Glou actually WAS great. Having eaten at roughly 100 different places in Paris, I feel like I've seen them all, but this place felt fresh and new. The food was well-sourced and presented beautifully, with that... More

An attractive bistro style restaurant in the Marais with helpful attentive staff. The specials for the day were all good without being exceptional. The food could have been hotter. The deserts were a little disappointing. The wine was good and sensibly priced. The atmosphere was lively.

This is a lively/hipster type place that feels "Americanized". We ordered the steak for 2. Now, you must understand that steak in France is not like steak in the USA. We knew that from many trips to France - vive la difference! This is a very large steak & it is a bit tough/gristly. It was cooked perfectly medium-rare &... More

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
