A place to spend where time could stand still or the rain can come and go in the ritual of refreshing the tea pot smelling cup and then the sipping cup. Relaxing rejuvenating focusing and imagining what the smell of the tea brings to your imagination.

Amazing place where you can enjoy the tea ceremony mixed with tea knowledge of their experts. Smell the different layers of tea as they're explaining the aroma. Peaceful and quiet place where you can either enjoy the silence or enjoy a small talk with your family.

Just off the bustling rue Mouffetard, this Chinese tea house is an island of calm. The principle is simple, there is a long list of Chinese teas of varying prices, but starting at 20€, and they are served to you beautifully. Attentive but not intrusive service is particularly helpful, especially in showing how to prepare and serve the tea. Stopping... More

Huge choice of teas with very knowledgeable staff and a great menu with descriptions. The Chinese tea ceremony was fun and the staff explanations and help great.

Here you can find any kind of good tea you could ever wan't. And the people working here can guide you through the over 1000 diffferent kinds they have. I will propably never visit a place that has more tea experience than this.

You learn to drink tea here. Or in other words: The first cup moistens my lips and throat. The second cup breaks my loneliness. The third cup searches my barren entrails but to find therein some thousand volumes of odd ideographs. The fourth cup raises a slight perspiration — all the wrongs of life pass out through my pores. At... More

After reading about this place for years and hiring a car to take me there, I was disappointed that we were unable to meet the woman name as one of the top tea experts. And after hearing about the special teas kept in the basement we were told that we could not see them and that basically the help were... More

Spent a wonderful afternoon in this beautiful tea shop specialising in the art of brewing tea and enjoying the tastes and aromas of the vast selection of natural teas stocked. The staff were very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. It starts from 20 Euros per person but you can sit and relax in the sumptuous surroundings for as long as you... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
