Came across this bistro/brasserie while on a family weekend away. It's located in quite a touristy area in Montmartre, but looked cosy and traditionally French so we gave it a try. Service was great - very polite (not always the case in Paris!) and quick. I had one of the day's specials of a pork filet mignon with sweet potato... More

We ordered a mixed cheese and charcuterie platter to share for a snack. It was very tasty. Lovely location and atmosphere. Best coffee I had during my 4 days in Paris.

I was drawn in by the big windows, thinking this would be an excellent place to have afternoon tea and people watch. The interior is simple and unfussy, the menu is fairly straightforward so don't expect anything fancy. Despite being a touristy area, the restaurant seemed to be filled with mostly locals. I really enjoyed my thé gourmand, however don't... More

Me and my boyfriend have been to Le Progres twice during out weekend-stay. First we came for lunch, and we were very satisfied. We stopped by a coincidence as it seemed crowded. The food was great and tasted delicious. We would highly recommend Le Progres for a quick meal or drink. It has a perfect location in Le Marais. We... More

We popped in after visiting the Sacre Couer for a glass of red wine and the baked Camembert which was delicious! It has such a cosy feel in there, the staff are lovely and efficient and we really enjoyed the experience. The baked Camembert with honey and thyme was so yummy.

Stopped for a warm drink as we were cold from walking all morning. I order hot chocolate, which was the best hot chocolate I'd ever had before! We also order the starter of bread with camembert thyme and honey. So delicious. It was both sweet and savory just full of flavour! The place was very busy so we ate outside.... More

We visited this bistro for a late breakfast at sunday noon. It's near Sacre Coeur, located at a small and romantic place. The stuff is very friendly and helpfull. Breakfast ok, from small (coffee and brioche) to oversized brunch. Pricing absolutly ok. We will stay again during our next trip.

We arrived kind of late for a nightcap and absolutely loved it! For starters it's a beautiful place with a lovely friendly atmosphere, and a real bonus for us was the whole time we were there they played Motown classics. The wine was excellent too, and good value. Willl definitely revisit

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
