We came by for lunch and managed to get a table. We were seated in the dining area upstairs.
Once seated and given menus we had some time to look through the menu. The servers were all nearby so it wasn't hard to get their attention when we were ready. We grabbed a few things to share.
Portion wise it wasn't too bad. The garlicky escargot was similar to other places and they did give quite a few slices of bread with it. I quite liked the Chicken quenelle, which was almost like a mousse. It was the sauce which gave it a really nice flavour. The beef tartare was nice but no the best since it didn't have the same textural and flavour components of the others. The supreme chicken was cooked really well and quite juicy. the potatoes were also really silky.
The food here was quite nice but think the menu is the same for lunch and dinner. It was around 30 Euro per dish which was on the pricier side but the food was made we'll and the service was quite nice.

We visited here for dinner one evening, it was a Saturday night and the restaurant was full – so there was a short wait. One of us opted for the Boeuf Bourguignon and the other had Confit Duck. The Confit Duck was very nice, served on the bone, the potatoes served with it were beautiful – but sadly little to no sauce was served. The disappointment, however, was the Boeuf Bourguignon which was very basic, something I could make at home just as good, but sadly came with lumps of very fatty beef. We complained to the waiter that the meat was not very good quality, which he looked at and apologized and said he would bring a better cut. Shortly after a plate with better quality meat arrived, rather than replacing the whole dish.
Overall, the food was mediocre – when asking for the bill, we asked if anything could be done to compensate for the bad meat in the dish, to which the waiter replied “No, I gave you better meat, you could have changed the dish if you wanted” – although this option was never provided to us.
Although the atmosphere was good, from the moment you order – the food is provided to you in less than 10 minutes, which made us question how fresh everything was. Overall, we wouldn’t return here and probably recommend others avoid.

We ate here with some American friends. The waiter was not very polite. We chose wine..he didn't produce a bottle for us to inspect..just carafes with wine that could have been wine from anywhere. If a customer orders a bottle of wine that bottle should be produced unopened and opened at the table. My American friend ordered a meal..but was given a different meal that was E30 more expensive than the one he ordered. Our meals were very ordinary. We were charged E17 for water..again produced in a carafe..probably tap water. I felt they were taking advantage of tourists. We didn't make a fuss as were dining with friends. We were most unimpressed.

Average food and average service
We went here for an early dinner. The service is average with full service team takes turn to take coffee not discreetly inside the bar. We don’t expect high standard here but both the service Is average and the food is under average (sauce of the food comes from supermarket). Which makes us a bit disappointed and not good. We couldn’t finish all the plates. A great spot but not good quality. We hope to have some improvement in the near future.

I am still bemused by some of the good ratings in TA. This place is absolute trash. I had a banana chocolate crepe that comes with the Paris pass but it was the worst crepe I had ever tasted in my life. The crepe was obviously not freshly made and reheated. The middle part of it was still cold and it tasted very chewy.
The service was also nonexistent. I had to remind the crew after waiting for 20 mins and only then they informed me that they had forgotten to prepare the crepe. No apology was offered and this restaurant is the epitome of French arrogance. I had a look at the menu and items on it are very pricey.
Avoid at all cost.

Service was ok, it's a cute and lively place, but my husband and I ordered two different types of steak and they were both bland, dry and tough. This place is way over-priced for the quality of food. We come from Colorado, beef country...the steak here was not even close to good enough to validate the price.

We had diner in this place, prices are so very high , titles make you think that they know what are they doing. But all the food was so bad, the onion soup was like luke water with a piece of cheese on top. The main were even worst, I could not touch my main course. Even mashed potatoes were bad. The fish was fried in burned oil, the french fries also. All the food was left on the plate but it did not bother them. Service? Bad. The only think he wanted was to clean up the table.

Positive aspects: a few very nice employees and delicious French oignon soup and crème brûlée.
Negative aspects: when we arrived, they couldn’t find our reservation (which we obviously had done), but were still able to seat us. They tried to give us a glass of wine that was turned down by another client (we did not want a glass of wine that could have possibly been tried by someone else), fortunately we noticed it and some employees were very sorry, however, this is one of the most inadmissible occurrences I have ever experienced in a restaurant. Our main dishes took very, very long, we were served way later that other clients that placed their order after us. The entrecôte was very dry and tasteless and the truffle rigatoni barely tasted like truffle.
The food and service were definitely not in line with the price. Would not come back and would not recommend

We were 4 adults and 2 babies with strollers. The waiter simply threw us out yelling when we asked if we can have a table for lunch. Obviously they didn't want babies bc the place was empty inside. It's a shame that there are places like this in a touristic zone. My advice: save your money and avoid a very akward moment and rude treatment!!

Searching for something veggie is always a challenge in France. After passing many overpriced, pretentious establishments with their gold door ropes and fancy but dour looking waiters, we found Marbeuf. The place was local and characterful, the food tasty (omelete, salad and chips for me, steak and potatoes for my wife), plentiful, good value and most importantly served with a genuine smile.

We were in Paris for one day and after too long a wait at our chosen restaurant we decided to go here instead for a late lunch. Wait staff were rude and did not attend to us until the manager yelled at them and pointed at us. The servers did not speak English but the first one who came over made an effort to explain the specials. However, when our server came to take our order he was very rude and told us to listen and hurry up (which seemed to be the only two English words he knew) as we were ordering. The food was ok but my husbands steak was very over cooked.

If I could I would give this 6 out of 5. Probably the best meal I have ever had in many years of visiting France. The waiters are so attentive, recommending the food you might like but not criticising if you don’t pick it. Even telling you not to order wine until he knows what you want to eat but even then not selling the most expensive bottle. Or waiter was a true delight.
You have to queue to get in but believe me every second is worth the wait.
The atmosphere is relaxed yet professional. You don’t notice time slipping away.
We came away so full that even breakfast the next morning was difficult to fit in

For French cuisine, this restaurant offers some typical dishes done fairly well. Service is fine, but like too many restaurants in Paris, the dining room is overcrowded so you feel uncomfortably tight.
We tried a variety of dishes, including frog legs, beef bourguignon, and duck. All were OK, and prices were reasonable for Paris.
No qualms about eating here, but also do not feel compelled about returning.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a place to have a quick eat. She wanted to try a Beef Tartare and I wasn’t hungry so just wanted a coffee. The manager invited us in when we told her we just wanted a tartare and offered us a seat outside. However, when the waiter took our order and realised we only wanted 1 portion and a coffee he refused to serve us because we weren’t ordering enough. After we were embarrassingly chucked out we went down the road Chez Andre and we told them that we were only looking for 1 portion of tartare and 1 coffee and how Le Bistro Marbeuf kicked us out because we weren’t spending enough money. They were just as surprised as we were and immediately accommodated to our needs. We highly recommend going to Chez Andre instead of Le Bistro Marbeuf, the service is much better and more accommodating

Really terrible service-wise! We actually did not get to eat here because we visited for a later lunch time (~1:30 or so), and the host told us he was unsure of the wait time and that we should step aside. We were a party of two - my husband and I - and not 2 minutes later, two other women walked in. Their party size was 4, and they were seated RIGHT AWAY, even though the whole party was not even present and they also did not have a reservation. Neither we nor that group are French speakers, so these transactions occurred in English.
I get the desire to maximize your table turnover and profits, but this was pretty outrageous from a greed perspective. We waited a few more minutes, but he continued to ignore us. By the way, no idea if the other table actually had a 3rd and 4th companion actually show up.
Perhaps the food is good, but I cannot support an establishment that is so blatantly greedy. Thankfully, it is the only negative (attempted) dining experience on that trip or any others in all of France for either of us. I would recommend supporting restaurants that appreciate customers regardless of what the bill total may be.
