We ate here on our first night in Paris. We could not have made a better choice. The space is tiny, but the food is authentic and delicious.

If you want to experience good traditional French food without all the fuss and trimmings then this restaurant is fabulous. It is best to reserve a table as it is jammed pack with mainly locals every lunch and dinner. The best confit duck I have ever had. The prices are very reasonable and the wines are good. We often go... More

Go there and experience Paris! Typical french kitchen and ambiance, people sit very close to each other, you have to move chairs and tables if you want to go to the restroom. Simple and convenient! Good food and service!

Nice, little, crowded, cozy bistro, with friendly owners, delicious plates. Waitress speaks very well English, bar man too.

After we arrived on an overnight flight, checked in, and had a quick rest, my husband and I had worked up quite an appetite so we went around the corner from our hotel to this little place and it appeared we had stumbled upon a true gem. It's tiny inside with only a handful of tables but so cozy! We... More

Absolutely brilliant. We stumbled across this little bit of Auvergne in Paris after watching the he rugby at the Frog Hop next door. We couldn't have wished for more. Good food, great service and good company. A great atmosphere on a Saturday night and well worth making a reservation. Try the 'La Fiselle' wine with your meal. We will be... More

Willing to try this typical French sandwich, we went to that small typical French bistrot where the star were the sandwiches filled with delicious cold cuts. It was also possible to sit and order real hot dishes which seemed very good as well. May try that next time we come back :)

Place is small and crowded as a good french bistro should be. Seems to be always busy but service is friendly and food is typical bistro food. Steaks are nice, try the plates with local cheeses and jambon. Next time we are going to try the baguettes that also looked good !

Le Petit Vendome is our favorite cafe near the Westin Paris Vendome. It is a cozy place with excellent food and warm, welcoming, and quick service. The duck "confit" is beyond compare! They also have excellent sandwiches. Le Special is our favorite. Thank you, Le Petit Vendome, for all the delicious food and happy memories!

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
