This restaurant is typical french restaurant in Paris....... but definitely better than one of bars/pubs if you want a dinner meal. The food selection was very good and averagely priced. Our meals came quickly and as we had ordered. The portions were big and filling. I recommend this restaurant for a nice evening out without it costing a huge amount.

Given it's been listed as one of the top 50 places to drink a beer, we went for a visit whilst in Paris. Not that exciting as it's a fairly typical Paris cafe on a non-descript street. Beer range was ok but fairly normally for a bar of this nature.

We went as a company of 4; waiters attitude - unfortunately similar to a lot of places in Paris - was pretentious and infriendly, our meals pricey and average at best.

Just got into town and ate here at the recommendation of the staff at the Jules Hotel. We enjoyed our meal here and the staff was most helpful with the menu and food suggestions.

This was more a restaurant than a bistro and had a wide ranging menu from burgers to snails. The prices were the same as everywhere, main courses around 17-20 Euro. The waiters were very friendly and helpful and spoke English. The service was quick and efficient. The menu was also available in English. The decor was lovely - Art Deco-ish... More

This is a nice and good bistro in Paris, the food is simple but fine: very good meat and onion soup. The place is beautiful, in a nice position just neat the mlst important views of Paris with a long choice of biers; one important point is that is almost always open. The service is fast, polite and even fun.... More

i like all about bistros: you feel entering to your mother's home, it smell always the best dishes you like to eat, they serve you wonderful food and desert and want you to be happy :) it was the same way, i entered to a very nice place, said hello to each other with staff, as we knew each other... We stayed opposite here and this was the only place we found quickly. Service was quick and menu had enough choice to find something suitable. OK for a quick drink too. Wouldn't go out of my way to book and would count on it as a back up.

We found this restaurant on out first afternoon in Paris and after our first meal there returned a couple more evenings. The service was excellent and he restaurant had a lovely ambience of old Paris. The confit duck and creme brulee the highlights of the menu but ,any more options available. excellent wine by the glass.

I went to this restaurant as I'd seen a recommendation for its andouillette, and this was what I was exactly in the mood for eating that Saturday night. It was a hot night so must of us sat outside - not particularly pleasant as you're sitting on the busy Rue La Fayette. The weather was obviously not the bar's fault... More

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
