My wife and I forgot to make a reservation for dinner that night. We spent a fair amount of time going from restaurant to restaurant trying to get a table. The staff was friendly and more than happy to sit us for dinner without a reservation. I was afraid that we might have settled, till the food came. It was... More

Nice quite restaurant with super-delicious food! I had a fantastic sea bass there, the service was very friendly and the location is pretty. I'll definitely come again once I'm in Paris! I do recommend to check this place out, I'm sure everyone will like it!

We stopped by, mid afternoon hoping to have some warm drinks as it was chilly. We sat down under the heater outside while my 11-year-old son went inside to use the restroom. The server came out, looked at us, and rudely asked if we were planning on eating. (They were not busy.) When we said no, just drinks, she grunted... More

Went in on a quiet November night. The waitress was extremely pleasant all evening, the food was very good and the ambience was tranquil. Perhaps 4.5 overall as we both ordered the same steak and one was cooked slightly more than the other. The desserts were lovely and clearly homemade.

Just enjoyed dinner at this restaurant. It was in a lovely location, away from the busy areas around the latin quarter but in classic french buildings with wooden beams and loads of charm. It was a very nice meal, the seafood was great and one of us ordered the sirloin which was also great. The service we really friendly and... More

This was the first meal we had in Paris and left feeling very satisfied. The restaurant is quite cosy on a quiet street giving it a more laid back, peaceful atmosphere. It was here that I tried escargot for the first time and loved it! My meal- lamb shank- was delicious and tender and the side of mashed potato was... More

We tried this restaurant for late lunch because our hotel receptionist recommended this place. It's good it's open non-stop, but like some of the reviewers said, the waiter was not friendly at all although we were the only customers for a while. We ordered two dishes, one of them was the dish of the day, which turned out to be... More

The restaurant felt sort of tucked away on Ile de la Cite, and was small inside, but made the perfect lunch stop on a cold, drizzly day. The server was very nice, and patient as we did our best to communicate in French. The size of our meal was just enough food for the two of us, and it was... More

Late Afternoon stop for a glass of wine and perhaps lunch. Sat outside, only 3 other patrons, were asked to move to a different table before seeing a menu (had asked for 2 Kirs). Then seated outside next to smokers, asked to move and were told no. This ended the wine and definitely stopped any chance of having a late... More

Located in the heart of Paris, not far from the Louvre Museum, this is a nice, small restaurant. If you're looking for a unique establishment with remarkable cuisine, you'll have to look elsewhere. This restaurant offers nice food, nice service and a nice ambiance. All at a reasonable price. So, if you're after a nice, small meal, you'll enjoy going... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
