Le Train Bleu, located at the Gare de Lyon, is a very large, fantastically decorated in art nouveau with high ceilings, chandeliers, paintings (of the destinations the trains visit) which first opened in 1901. It has friendly service, excellent food, and a good wine list. I have eaten there 3 times in the last 6 years and have always found... More

Sitting there , you can imagine yourself in the late 50's waiting for your pullman car on your way to Nice or Venice... The place is full of memories - Food is decent. A nice way to wait for your train...

Wonderful food, polite, attentive service and an amazing decor! What more could you ask for? I will certainly use this again for a business lunch.

This was an absolutely beautiful, historic restaurant in Paris. The restaurant is formal but not to worry. The over the top service makes the evening enjoyable and not stuffy. The food was sensational !!! My favorite course was the lobster. Unbelievable. If you are looking for a restaurant that makes you feel special and is the perfect way to celebrate... More

Very nice nice and old place. It seems to enter into the 20s. Prices of course are insane. Quality is ok. Service just good compared to the place. We missed the napkins. We had a coffee, tea and chocolate. The rooms are great, the tables and chairs are renewed in a good stile. Just in front, below its own stairs... More

Having 2 hours for our connection to Avignon we decided to have lunch at Le Train Bleu just on the of chance of a table, one was available so we were happy as it was most enjoyable not only for the food but for the interior decor, I would love to return for evening dinner. The service was excellent and... More

I would never have thought that a train station (Gare de Lyon) would have such an amazing restaurant but there it is on the first floor reached directly from the train platforms. The interior is spectacular. It's a shame that at night it is too brightly lit for an evening meal. However, the service was good (probably helped by the... More

We visited late afternoon while waiting for the TGV. Initially we tried a cafe in Hall 2 but one waiter was struggling with a full room and we could see a long wait ahead. So we returned to Hall 1 and walked into the divine Train Bleu. We were ushered to a comfortable sofa and sat staring at the magnificent... More

The Train Bleu is a real surprise, being tucked inside the Gare de Lyon. The dining room is so grand it is like eating in a museum or grand chateau. The food is high quality as is the service.
