Le Train Blue really could not be more of an expression of French character. It's unapologetically out of another time, does'nt care, and functions perfectly well in 2017. Apart from having the most expensive coffee in Paris it's well worth a visit.

Dining in a large group is always challenging, especially it is for high quality food. It takes special skills and training to be able to produce and deliver to the table a large number of plates at the same time. Le Train Blue did it beautifully and it did not hurt that the food was fantastic and the setting spectacular.... More

We made a special journey to see this place and stopped for a cocktail. The surroundings are amazing and gives you an insight in what it was like to experience life in days gone by. The service was amazing, cocktail great. You do pay for the experience, but well worth it.

This was our first time at Le Train Bleu, and the staff was pleasant and efficient!. We had a wonderful time as the ambiance and architecture was beautiful. We had a set course menu for Valentine's Day and we enjoyed all of it. You really get the feel of a Parisian dinner; allow yourself to take your time and soak... More

A very famous restaurant with a wonderful dining room. Classic French food, but service and food quality were not of a standard I have eaten in other Paris restaurants. Worth going for a meal for the experience, but there are many other restaurants with better food.

Stopped at Le Train Bleu during a recent stay in Paris with my cousin and his wife. The place is a bar/restaurant, but we only came to have a drink, and enjoy the awesome beauty of it. Very ornate, with gold accents and beautiful paintings, you would never think you were in a bustling train station (Gare de Lyon). Any... More

Set above the Gare de Lyon station, a well-known venue in part because of its 19th century Empire style. Huge ornate room but broken up into sections so not overwhelming. Relatively limited menu but so designed for epicures and foodies but broad enough for all tastes. Good wine list and service. Not cheap, but what do you expect for such... More

Hard to believe that this restaurant is in a train station - the Gare de Lyon! If you are taking a train from Gare de Lyon, you have to visit. A less expensive place is just down the grand stairs of Le train Bleu. This is a place for a formal dinner, but if you just want to see it,... More

Having endured Mr Bean's Holiday for the sale of my children I first learned about Le Train Bleu (you know, the excruciating bit in the film when Rowan Atkinson wrestles with French cuisine and tips his plate of oysters into a fellow guest's handbag) and I wondered how much of it was real and how much was film set. I'm... More

I understand that this place used to be a train station and hence the size. This is a big restaurant with beautiful interiors. It was dimly-lit and the whole place looked quite dramatic and beautiful. I ordered the steak but sadly, it was tough. However, the dessert (a chocolate confection) made up for it. It was simply divine.
