This place was amazing. Very friendly staff, excellent food and reasonable prices. It was very crowded so you might have to wait for a table (we waited around 15-20minutes) but it’s totally worth it! As an appetizer we had traditional terrine from pork and rabbit meat with a salad and pickles on the side. For the main dish we had traditional duck confit and the meat was extremely tender. I would highly recommend this place!

After a walk around the Louvre we visited this bistro. We were attracted by a waiter who spoke Russian with us. He turned out to be Greek and knew a little Russian. Being in France and not trying snails is a big mistake. Therefore, we ordered snails, steaks, salad and a bottle of white dry wine. The atmosphere was pleasant and cozy, the tables were not small, we had enough space for the two of us. At that moment there were few people there, so we were able to talk a little with the waiter. He was an old man, he was very friendly. When he brought us snails, we asked him to show how we need to eat them, he patiently showed and told us. It was very tasty. But the steak was a bit dry. But the wine made up for it. All in all I recommend this bistro to visit!

A lovely experience. Brilliant french food, with a really authentic setting, simple design and very welcoming to us (British tourists). Really good value, we both had the "viande du hour" for €10.90, which was a sirloin on the day we came, and it was brilliant, served with chips and salad, and bread on the side. Desserts and drinks felt a little pricey in comparison to the mains, but were still good value - the creme brulee was delicious. Will be going again on our trip!

We choose this Bistro because of its very positive reviews and it did not disappoint. The waiter was friendly and and helpful and the service was neither quick or slow which was ideal for a dinner for two. The starters were really tasty, soup and herring, and the mains were delicious, sea bream and steak. The wines were ones that never make it home as the French drink it all. We did not have room for pudding, the price was excellent for such a great dinner and the feel of the restaurant was relaxed.

We were able to walk to this fabulous Bistrot and enjoy a wonderful dinner in a crowded but hopping place. The waiters moved orders with a amazing grace swirling through the tables with beautifully prepared and delicious food…I could see the chef in the kitchen working to fill orders quickly but always with panache. We had the plates du jour which were by American standards a bargain: white fish in a sauce over braised endive and sausage en croute with greens and pomme fritte ( sounds more elegant than French fries). The fish lovers praised the crispy skin and endive and the sausage en croute was outstanding. The wine ordered was a crisp white and dessert was sensational , a crème brûlée that two shared and cafe gourmand : a coffee with 4 small desserts, panna cotta with a berry topping, a macaron, a pieties crème brûlée and molten chocolate cake. This was a memorable meal , highly recommended and we will return before we leave Paris.

As a visitor I have found the leisurely lunch to be a wonderful French habit. With a restaurant as popular as this you just cannot keep to the same timing as the locals. Arrive early. You will be treated to the smoothest foie gras you have ever encountered. I recommend the duck confit or the salad landaise. Beware that the salad is so filling you will only have room for coffee afterward. Polite staff and English menus if needed, make this an enjoyable venue for all.

Loads of restaurants if you are staying really central but prices are higher , if you just fancy walking 15 minutes out then you will find less crowded and cheaper restaurants, this one had great reviews so we decided to give it a go, good choise as a main of steak and fries was only 12,5 euros and the food is really good, it does get busy so worth either booking or if you don’t mind then u can eat outside. Staff so friendly, really enjoyed my visit there and would definitely go back . Problem with other restaurants are they are really busy and cost more so it’s definitely worth walking out a bit to find the better restaurants

This place is extremely busy... There was a queue outside to get a table and waiters were super busy inside so service could be a little better.. Nonetheless, the staff was friendly and accommodating.. I really enjoyed the food (bouef tartare and profiteroles for dessert) and I would return if I had the extra time in my plans...

This restaurant was towards the end of the street with nice ambient street noise. It was helpful that they had a French menu and an English menu to order off of. The prices were also extremely reasonable and the portion sizes were perfect. Only downside, was our wine tasted very watered down - but maybe I'll try a cocktail or beer next time.

This is an absolute gem of a place. My son had been living in Paris for the last year and on a visit to see him and also meet up with some Parisian friends he suggested this as a place to meet and eat as it was good and had some vegetarian options. This place is easy to find and a short walk from either Les Halles or Pyramides Metro stations. As we were all coming from different parts of town we arrived separately; you can’t book here and they are reluctant to give you a large table just in case some of the party don’t show. We were there for 19:30 on a Wednesday and there were lots of tables but these soon filled up. Once all the party had arrived they found us a table and by this time the Bistrot was pretty much full; this place is popular. The vibe is obvs very French, relaxed and unhurried and the staff are very friendly and efficient. I don’t remember what everyone had (there were some snails involved, some pate, and some duck) but the menu is typical French fare; as a vegetarian I had a goats cheese salad to start and a veggie burger (not very French); both were delicious. We were a party of 5 with all having an aperitif, starter, main and pudding, two bottles of wine and some bottled water and the bill came to around €300; pretty good value for a major city. Highly recommended.

So go here and get the confit. Period. You're welcome. I had read the reviews so we set out with an appetite specifically for the duck confit; after a week of delicious dish after delicious dish, both my husband and I decided this was the best thing we at all week. Bart, our server was fantastic. Fun, knowledgeable, and with a great sense of humor - he added to the experience. We sat outside with beautiful views in both directions and enjoyed every minute. We started with escargot and ended with the brulee. As mentioned in the reviews, the price point here is unbeatable for the quality of food you are served. Go here and be happy - I only wish we had found it earlier in the week so we could have returned.

Bistrot Victoire is a french bistrot with wooden floors and a real Parisian atmosphere. They offer all the classics, from escargots to soup à l'onion. The staff is really nice and attentive. Prices are a bit lower compared to many other bistrot in the area.

Great atmosphere. Lots of locals. Good food. Sausage on lentil soup - surprise. Good steak tartare and pate. Cafe gourmand comes with a dessert sampling dish (×3). Good price point. Two blocks away from Louvre.

I visited around opening time on a Sunday (12pm) and was a solo diner. The staff were lovely and welcoming, food came out promptly and the food was great for the price. Advise going for dinner so you can get the onion soup and escargots, which aren't available at lunch. Location is excellent - close to the Palais Royal and Louvre

Our guide at the Louvre suggested this place. We never would have found it on our own. We waited for maybe 20 minutes to sit, If I had known, I would have happily waiting hours. The interior is tight and quaint and lovely and inviting. Our waiter was helpful, friendly and joked with my children in a sweet way. We ordered 4 different dishes and each on was better than the next. The snails were AMAZING- a great first place to try them. The duck confit was so so delicious- it will bring tears to your eyes. My husband had a citrusy beer that was the best beer I have ever had. We ohhhd and Ahhd over each bite. I am confident you will too. This is not a quick bite. This is casual french cuisine in the french style. It's been a month and we are still talking about it.
