Great place, decent cuisine and above all very good programming. Marrhieu Bore set things on fire with his trio. Hair-raising, wild jazz... the room was incandescent!! And then, when it is barely 10 p.m., a young man comes to signal to the musicians that it’s over. .. no psychology even though we would have liked 10 minutes more. Non-negotiable despite the visible frustration of the orchestra. In short, an evening which could have been wasted by an unwelcome act of authority when it was Saturday evening and there was a show... heartbreaking this administrative management of a place which should above all prioritize the pleasure of the public when he is lucky enough to have artists like Matthieu. This would not be possible in the US or England. Really disappointed !

5/5 for the atmosphere and the location, but average for the food! You pay 29€ and you can eat non-stop at the buffet. The buffet wasn’t so great (some hot plates, salads, cheese, charcuterie..), the best part was the desserts one. I loved the atmosphere and the jazz band, but I think it’s not worth the price.

Going to a restaurant in good company allows you to bear a certain number of things; A table reserved for 10 where at 6 we are very tight; a deafening musical atmosphere, whether when the group is playing or when the sound system is playing; a service which does what it can, but which blames the fact that the table arrived late (false) to justify that there is not enough fish for everyone, even though it had been specified when booking that this is the dish that will be mostly ordered, and we were not at the end of the service; desserts which arrive slowly, notably the famous last 2 tarts of the season (announced with pear) which turn out to be a tatin burst on the plate with a strong smell of frying and a pungent aftertaste of poorly refined sugar; And this is where the evening becomes lunar: the "manager" does not understand the remark and brings back the same plate sent back to the kitchen, he claims that we are a clientele who makes a fuss to have two desserts in view, he ended up removing these dishes from the bill, but without recognizing our point of view (overheard from other customers on a cigarette break outside), all while using a more than aggressive and disrespectful tone and ending up demanding that we pay and leave. And the icing on the cake (the pie) was that we were banned from the evening at the Bellevilloise which was about to begin and for which reservations had been made. This is a birthday party that ends well!

I reserved a table of three for drinks and nibbles to celebrate a special occasion The organisation of the place is , to the least ,ridiculus : All clients had to queue , reservation or not , for around 10 minutes , on a very warm parisian evening in the heart of August There was a first control of the réservation before being allowed to take the stairs .But we first had to patiently wait for the staff to answer a message on social media And after two minutes , another pretentious guy made as queue on the stairs under the sun because reservations need to be re-controlled allowing small groups of people to progressively enter God knows why as there were empty tables At least the '' cool rooftop manager'' to be enjoyed the time chating with the clients in front , who he knew while making as wait Because one has to sweat if one wants to enter this unique rooftop parisian bar, this temple of entertainment As an athenian/parisian , I suggest to the Toit team that instead of copying the watermelon -feta salad from greek cuisine , to visit some of the numerous beatiful rooftops in Athens center, and copy the relaxed ,non pretentious attitude of the staff Even Galaxy Bar at Athens Hilton ,with signature coctails and star chefs does not require double control in order to access .And of course bar reception staff are real professionals ,not snob parisian hipsters

No respect for a brunch reservation: 17 persons expected, table for 12. No help. Relegation to a roof top with possible rain. No help. All do it yourself: Find your way to the open-air terrasse get the tables, get the chairs, organize them for your expected group. No elevator, two flights of open air stairs bring the glasses, forks and knives Bartenders are useless. If you want wine, get it by the glass…. And climb upstairs again… and down again… Finally, Get your favorite food (have to admit, brunch is diverse and good) The Worst of all, get ejected at 2pm from the above mentioned possibly rainy rooftop and be required to bring all the plates and other ustensiles back down to the main floor. With no help nor waiters. Other customers want to get their coffee and smoke outside too… give them space, please. In short, worst service ever for a brunch, no care, no assistance. If you are used to the basic standard of a Diner in the US, avoid this place specially if you are more than 4-5 people with a reservation. Never again: brunch + wine + expresso (I ordered a short Machiatto, BTW) : above 40 euros/$ An a big huge void of Service. Thank you very much. Unless you want to say, to entertain or amazeyour friends around the world: Oh, I have been to the Bellevilloise in Paris DO not go there at all. There are hundreds of Brunch restaurants in Paris with a decent Service for the same Price or less.

Deplorable brunch to avoid! Unfortunately we didn’t think to check the reviews before going, lulled by the notoriety of the place and the appeal of a concert café. Organization neither done nor done: opening the place after booking time, kitchen staff smoking with their gloves just outside the door, layout of the brunch hyper ill thought out involving a permanent queue and a continuous zigzag of customers between tables, very unpleasant manager and no sense of service / commercial sense. The icing on the cake is dirty: huge smelly trash cans just outside the entrance, toilet rooms when the restaurant had just opened and... dirty dishes (the plates were just filthy and did not want to eat at all). In short when we know the correct number of brunch in Paris and in the 20th we can only recommend going elsewhere...

A circle because you can't put nothing on. Like many others, the restaurant experience was more than disappointing. The dishes were of decent quality, nothing more (but we expected that) and one of the desserts was inedible. The worst being the extremely aggressive attitude of the restaurant manager. An attitude never seen before in catering and which could have been resolved without a hitch if he had simply been more commercial (the basis). Being thrown out at the end of the evening like trash was the straw that broke the camel's back and completely ruined an evening with friends. Ashamed !

Some nice atmosphere, good music. But each time it never gets beyond average. Quite pricey, small charcuterie, mezze mediocre, expensive wine. And terrible service, the wine half way through the meal.

I entered the club and the bouncers wouldn't let me in, since I already paid for the ticket for the event. These are the bouncers from Saturday October 21 until Sunday October 22 who behaved with a racist and discriminatory attitude against me. I came from the United States and the bouncers wouldn't let me through.. what a disappointment all the bouncers treated me like the worst thing you can treat... what a shame! I want all the bouncers at the club to be fired because of their discriminatory behavior against me.

Me and my partner were asked 'where are the women in your group' and told that the club night wasn't for people like us. It is a shame that this kind of homophobia still exists in a club that I thought would be progressive.

We went for the afternoon brunch at 2pm on Sunday. It was €30 each for two hours of food and soft drinks. Food was fresh and there was loads of choice for vegitarians. The desserts were delicious and absolutely fantastic. The music was not really jazz. It was improv acoustic but enjoyable none the less. It's always an experience to see live music. All in all a pleasant way to spend the afternoon.

This was one of the most pleasant surprises in our trip to Paris. A great jazz trio, fabulous home-cooked, great hosts -- it felt like we were at a friend's party! Book early -- this place is a favorite of Parisienes!

What a hidden jewel we discovered. We were fortunate to get reservations for the Fathers Day jazz brunch. Never have I seen such a beautiful selection of food artfully presented. Three different tables with cold, hot and dessert selections, plus a wide assortment of juices, coffees, teas. We were also able to order wine at the bar. The jazz group was composed of a gal from northern France with two guitarists from Quebec City. They presented a very entertaining show. It was great to see many families at this venue too.

Belleville / Père Lachaise
At the eastern edge of Paris lies Belleville / Père Lachaise, an understated wonderland of local treasures. Alongside the world-famous cemetery, family-owned delicatessens and cafés nestle between local stores and establishments. The richness of the population here has created a little Chinatown of Asian restaurants, and the area comes to life at night by a funky underground scene. Façades change from one street to another as one passes from white walled provincial homes to tall blocks and reconverted homes. The whole area is an inspirational mix of people from all corners of the world frequented by artists, students, immigrants, and Parisian families. Once home to supporters of the Paris commune, its rebellious nature is now offset by its rural charms.
