Absolutely insanely good! We did not have a reservation and we’re able to walk in and sit down right away. This was a Wednesday at 9 PM and we were only a party of two. Service was friendly and considerate! We ordered the snails (12)...and the French onion soup, both unreal! We then ordered the duck ravioli and the duck breast with mashed potatoes. Both phenomenal!!! We will be back!!!More

Have waited to come for a long time. Fantastic staff, sat outside in the sun and had by far the best duck breast I've ever eaten. Thank you guys. I'll be back in September.

I came here a few years ago and they've maintained a very high standard. The food is delicious. Unfortunately the restaurant is small and the tables are crammed together which does make it slightly uncomfortable in this post covid period. Friendly staff who are very...comfortable speaking in English.More

I have frequented this establishment for many years. The service is a hit and miss. Not an intimate setting, more of a bistrot. Can be noisy. Suggest lunch as the food takes a while to digest. Fois gras is the king.

I've been here three times before for lunch, usually on my own dropping in at slightly off times without a reservation. Each time, the waiters have been gracious and helpful. I really enjoyed my meals here, so this time in Paris I decided to make...a reservation and dedicate time to visit the restaurant with my guests to share some great food. Unfortunately, this time I had a similar experience to another reviewer in terms of service. We only inquired about where our food was because we saw a table who sat down over half an hour after us receive their food before us (in fact, one ordered the exact same dish I did) and thought maybe our order was mistakenly not inputted. Hilariously, we received the same response from the waiter as the other reviewer: "It's cooking." Yes, we know it's likely cooking, but it seems like one has already cooked! The place has lost a bit of its magic and not sure I'll dedicate time to return next time.More

I went back and forth trying to figure out what rating to give. The food was amazing and well worth 5 stars; however, the service was incredibly rude and possibly racist. I came here with my boyfriend, and we arrived at the same time as...another couple. Luckily, two tables had just opened up, and so we were seated at the same time. The server directed all of his attention to the other couple and immediately gave them menus and water. He then took their order and left. My boyfriend and I got our menus from a different server and decided on which items we wanted to order. The male server then reappeared with the other couple's food and still refused to bring us water even though we were trying to get his attention. He refused to even look in our direction and pretended that we weren't there. Meanwhile, 30 minutes had gone by, and by this time, he was already bringing out dessert and coffee for the other couple that had been seated at the same time as us. The server finally came over to take our order and seemed irritated that he had to do so. While we were waiting on our food and water, a new couple sat down next to us, and they were promptly given menus and water. They got their order in and even received their entrees before we even got appetizers. I'll note that my boyfriend was the only black man in the entire restaurant, and we watched everyone else receive attentive service while we were ignored and treated rudely. The other couple had also ordered the foie gras ravioli and received it rather quickly. However, when we asked about our ravioli (since it'd been about another 20 min since we finished our appetizers, the waiter sneered at us and said "it's cooking.") So I'll leave it up to yall to decide. The food on the other hand, was delicious. We ordered the snails, foie gras ravioli, and bone marrow. The foie gras ravioli really stood out and was my favorite dish -- so creamy, savory, and well prepared. We both really enjoyed our food and I wish that our experience wasn't marred by the terrible service.More

Simply, good, easy. Nice service at a correct price. Maybe the table could be a little wider but food and wines make you forget such a small detail. Advisable despite the street outside was only for tourists.

Since we wanted to try foie gras in some of its several forms we made a dinner reservation here. We called one week ahead and the staff were very helpful in accommodating us even though their online reservation system showed no vacancies during our stay....Reading the reviews I came with high expectations and I can say I didn't leave disappointed. We were 3 people and indulged with their famous foie gras carpaccio and foie gras terrine for starters, pan-seared foie gras, foie gras raviolis and duck breast as mains. Everything was very tasty, the luscious foie gras dishes were something to remember and the rare duck breast was perfectly cooked. Excellent coconut flan and a fine choice of aperitifs and some craft beer. Super positive and smiling serving staff. Definitely recommended for foie gras.More

The culinary angels are singing. We had the duck foie gras ravioli with truffle sauce. All I can say is daaayyyummm it was good. To start, we had the artichoke with herb salad. It was clean, delicious, and fun to eat. Who doesn’t like scrapping...their teeth against the petals?! The bread was fresh. To end a perfect lunch we had the chocolate pudding with vanilla ice cream. The whole experience was just lovely. Our waiter was excellent and so sweet to work with our bad French. He brought out everything at the perfect time. This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. Eat outside if you can for some exceptional people and fashion watching. Bon apetit!More

Our second time in Paris would not be complete without a visit to this place. The first time in Paris 2 years ago we stumbled upon this place…and it was so good we visited twice. The Foie gras ravioli with truffle cream sauce is just...out of this world good. The duck breast is almost the size of a turkey breast and it was cooked to temp perfectly. The Foie gras carpaccio was unique, nice and creamy on toast. Great atmosphere as well. This is a place that cannot be overlooked if you are a foodie and you are visiting ParisMore

I am sorry for this review because I am sure it will not be helpful for most people. If you have see the show I'll Have What Phil's having then you know about Le Comptoir; that was my reasoning for wanting to go. I didn't...realize it was the #1 rated restaurant on Yelp in all of Paris. We went earlier than Parisienne dinner time but saw it was pretty crowded. Since I was with my 6 year old I walked up to the door and asked in my horrible French (lol) an extremely attractive gentleman how long the wait was. He shrugged his shoulders with a kind smile and said (In English) he wasn't sure but the line started over there (as he pointed). I thanked him and started to walk away. He stopped me and said the restaurant across the street was very good and there was no wait. I told him I would stand in line and wait for a bit and if it was too long I would go across the street. We waited in line maybe 15 minutes but I knew my poor son was getting hungry so we left the line and went across the street. The food across the street was really good, just as he said! I also noted there was a couple that stayed at a table at Le Comptoir the entire time we had our meal across the street and the line stayed full. I am sorry we didn't get the opportunity to eat here but I will make it a point the next time I visit Paris. All this was to say THE STAFF HERE IS GREAT! The gentleman didn't have to offer up another restaurant and could have just made us wait. I thought that was extremely sweet and I want to tell everyone to MAKE A RESERVATION and go to Le Comptoir!More

We were looking for a place to have dinner one evening and my wife found this place on Google. We noticed that the restaurant's website said that reservations were completely full but that they would do their best to accommodate walk-ins. We arrived around 7:30pm...and ended up having to wait in the queue, but were seated outside in about 15 minutes. It was a cool evening so they turned on the heat lamps which kept things comfortable. The onion soup was delicious! And it stayed hot for the entire time I was eating it. The escargot was pretty good although I found the sauce to be a little salty. The duck salad was tasty. The highlights of our meal were definitely the foie gras ravioli and the seared foie gras. Both were fantastic! Make sure your heart can handle the rich food!More

Like the most restaurants in Paris is a good idea to have your reservation before visiting just to be sure you 'll get a table. As for this restaurant is kind of small inside so I definitely suggested a reservation!
