Everything we ordered was well prepared. We made an additional reservation during our first visit and returned later the same week. Many top restaurants are closed in August in Paris. This restaurant should be proud of the quality they deliver and the service they provide. We recommend this restaurant

With only one night in Paris, I did my best to scout out a delicious restaurant. Originally I planned to try Frenchie's Wine Bar, but when I saw it was closed, I used TripAdvisor to find a nearby gem and Comptoir de la Gastronomie was everything I was looking for. I highly recommend the perfect egg to start + the... More

Unassuming traiteur/restuarant which specialises in foie gras, I had a pan fried seared portion which was sublime followed with spaghetti vongole which was excellent a subtle french take on an italian standard, accompanied by a large glass of reasonably priced red wine, very hard to fault on a warm summer evening sitting at the pavement tables watching Parisian life go... The duck breast, foie gras/truffle ravioli and foie gras terrine/pate were exquisite! The service was great too! If I had more time in Paris if have gone back again!

We had spent the whole day waking around with heavy camera gear, and hafn't really eaten much. We were starving, exhausted, and confused about where to eat. Yelp came in to save the day, yet again! We stepped in around late afternoon, right before dinner. The decor is a little dim for mid day, but in a romantic kind of... More

OMG! I just love it! the taste the sauce the everything of this dish is just prefect! I was in love since the first bite! the roast duck is also not bad but not that impressive. another dish, something like foie gras with bread, is good too - just eat it before it cools down or it'll be a little... Wife and I were looking for a good French restaurant and a little old lady said "I live across the street and eat here all the time--good food!" It was reasonably priced and delicious! Escargot, foie grais ravioli, and shrimp linguine were all tried and winners. They sell the high quality ingredients they use in the food!

Ate here with my gf for lunch, they served us before the 3pm full menu lunch cutoff. THEY WEREN'T PUSHY or BITTER about it either. BONUS POINTS! Tried zucchini gazpacho, provence meatballs, snails, and fois gras ravioli. Everything was okay, not bad, but jesus H christ, their specialty is the fois gras ravioli with truffle sauce. Break that puppy open... More

Another tasty meal at this restaurant. Tried an array of dishes from the lamb which was the dish of the day, with seared Fois gras, roast duck with balsamic sauce and mash potatoes as well as Fois gras ravioli with truffle.

My husband and I ate at this restaurant last week, it was our last evening in Paris and we could not have picked a more perfect venue. The staff were all delightful, friendly and so helpful. We were tempted by specials for starter and main - both starting with scrambled eggs and caviar followed by scallops with mushroom risotto. Both... More

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
