We were hungrily wandering around the Marais last night when we saw a group of people dining in a cozy room. No sign out front that I could see but it was obviously a small restaurant. I decided to see if we could get a table, although the place was packed. I entered and asked the proprietor if we five... More

Went there with my girlfriend our first time in Paris. Booking a table via The Fork was very easy, the staff was nice and quick. They speak every language ;) Dinner was nice, nothing cheap or touristic felt almost at home. Very wide choice between starters, entrees and dessert, and a huge wine list. We had 2 entrees, 2 glasses... More

Situated in the hip/chic/bo-bo (or possibly 'beau-beau') heart of Paris' Marais, is this charming restaurant with an equally enchanting hostess. It's just right for a Sunday night's dinner for two. Each dish is a culinary delight on the senses. My wife and I wished we could personally commend the ever so busy chef for the tremendous spread. I recommend this... More

Came back here to dine twice. I don't know why Trip Advisor have listed this as a gastro pub as it certainly is not, it's just a small restaurant. Good food and great wine menu at a reasonable price, quite large portions so we shared an entree Staff speak great English and are happy to explain the menu in more... More

Just had dinner at Le Colimaçon with my parents. We all particularly enjoyed our starters (Tartare de la mer, croustillant de chèvre, tuile de parmesan et asperges). The main courses (magret de canard, sole, noix st jacques) were good too although were perhaps a little overcooked, especially the magret de canard, but maybe we talked too much over the starters!... Staff were very friendly, assisted us by explaining the menu in English. Offered good suggestions. The Duck is superb. Wine menu very good. This has been my 4 th visit over the years this time with new chefs and management. Still carried on the same professional Service.

+ the beef plates + the wines + the staff + the sweets - maybe the seating is a bit to close to the other tables - kind of hard to notice the entrance from the street

Chose Le Colimacon as a restaurant to eat at whilst in Paris based on TA reviews, and it was just around the corner from my apartment. Didn't have a reservation and decided to drop in around 7pm to see if there was a table and unfortunately there had been a robbery and the owner was waiting for the police and... More

Our Parisian friend from the Marais area of Paris recommended Le Colimacon. My family and I could not of asked for a better dinner at this local restaurant. Situated in the very hip, trendy Marais neighborhood, Le Colimacon offered fabulous service in an intimate quite table setting. The server recommended the French toast with foie gras and smoked duck breast... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
