My family enjoyed our dinner in your restaurant on Friday night as it was close to where we were staying in Marais. The food, service and ambience was excellent and appreciated. I really enjoyed the wine list too, brief but really well thought out and fairly priced too. I would come back to eat here any day of the week.... More

We had a great meal about 4 years ago and we wanted to have a similar experience , however that was not to be My fish was supposed to be ` traditional French cooking ` , however it was not the `French of old ` ; steamed fish + vegetables and certainly not tasty Maybe a new owner / cook... More

We stumbled across this place as it was about 100m from our apartment in la Marais. It looked interesting so checked the reviews online and they were all pretty positive. We were not in the least disappointed. First of all, it's in a very quaint old building with original stone walls and other features. We enjoyed very attentive and friendly... More

We were staying in Marais for our 30th wedding anniversary and looking for a nice restaurant one evening. I saw good reviews for Colimacon and we strolled over and were seated at the table by the window upstairs. We had a great meal and a great time just sitting and enjoying the restaurant and the food and wine. There were... More

Expect excellent food with a vast array of choices considering the size of the restaurant, but more strikingly an incredible passion and knowledge about wine that shows from opening the wine list, which is sorted in a way that you can't go wrong. And if you do, the owner will right away suggest a better combination. Just go !

Great little quaint place in La Marais. The food was traditional French. It was very approachable, we were with our 10 and 12 year old, and was fabulous. The staff helped to translate the dishes and made the experience very comfortable. This includes dealing with an extreme but allergy. The Foie Gras was the best I have ever had. Fantastic!!

We visited over dinner. The place is very cute and cosy inside - small but perfectly formed, with a characterful decor. Service is brilliant and friendly. The menu features French classics such as entrecote, foie gras and steak tartar, with a twist. It's not cheap, but would say it's well worth it, especially given the location. Menu is not available... More

We had a lovely dinner but we were very surprised to see that their were only 2 waiters for the whole place. Everything took forever. And although it is fair to say that the waiters were friendly, after the forth.. Fifth.. oui, oui, you just loose your patience.

My friend who is from France recommended this place to me. I am so happy we got to go and enjoy this amazing food! We ordered the rabbit and needless to say it was amazing and I don't normally eat exotic meats. The wait staff was amazing as well, friendly and very patient on explaining the menu to us since... Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
