I was looking for a local restaurant in an area surrounded by tourist places and Japanese restaurants and both the gallery and the restaurant were a good surprise. Food was really delicious to celebrate the last day on Paris.

Lunch menu for less than 20 euro a head! The devilled eggs with homemade mayonnaise reminded my wife of her grandmother. Goose rilettes, great! Roasted maryland of Guinea fowl (pintade) - gamey deliciousness. But the highlight was the 18-month Laguiole! The cheese had pockets of blue that tasted of anchovies. Authentic bistro vibe - I loved the Formica and exposed... More

Probably the best place we ate at in Paris over the course of a week. Delicious food, great wine - it's small, out of the way, intimate and quite lovely. Plus, cute waiters.

We stumbled onto this restaurant on "date night" last Friday. Christophe didn't know the Passage Vivienne so we strolled through. We were looking for just a comfortable place for dinner, nothing fancy. And we found exactly that. Le Bougainville is not all fancy but oh so wonderful. Tables in the passage or inside in the dining room. We opted for... More

I live in Paris and I went to dinner in this restaurant, as the reviews were pretty good. The table that was given to us was terrible, you could see packaging boxed on the floor, the drinks were brought in a messy way, and the drinks were flowing out of our glasses, which made our table a total mess. When... More

This is exactly what you look for when it comes to going to a french bistrot.. All your architecture, food and wine fantasy are reunited in this unique place. Real french fries, no ready made crap.. Very rare to be found especially in such location in paris .. A must !

Croissants were excellent! fresh fruit macaroons!! Nice ambiance - outdoor tables - since 1356. Had breakfast over there instead of your hotel.

Really good place for a lunch. Formula (2 dishes) costs 17.5 EUR. Nice service and stuff. I enjoyed the time there.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal here. Homemade chicken liver pate and rillete of goose liver were both delicious and we had to stop ourselves from eating all of the large servings so we could enjoy the rest of the meal. I had a white fish filet on rice with tiny vegetables mixed in rice. Friend had lamb with "smashed potatoes".... More

okay the food is more or less straightforward but tasty and abundant ... plus the woman in the gallery opposite did a drawing of me (not a great one, but fun) - ... service was excellent despite its being busiest time of day - highly recommend - it's second time i went, bringing my husband time number 2 - and... Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
