Its a busy,'proper' bistro style French restaurant with atmosphere, and waiters in long aprons moving quickly and efficiently around the crowded tables. Luckily we'd booked and thats probably wise on a Saturday night, but if you haven't booked don't be discouraged from giving it a try - you may be lucky and get a table. Its worth the risk. Contrary to popular belief, vegetarians can be catered for in France, and especially Paris, so my wife was very satisfied with her choice and she eats neither meat nor fish. The rest of us tucked into very well cooked and presented traditional fare. I don't normally order steak these days, as invariably it seems to be tough and grisly, but I took the chance and was rewarded with a beautifully cooked sirloin. In fact one probably wouldn't go far wrong with any choice on the menu, although the specials were going quickly and two or three of them had been deleted by the time we sat down at 8.30. Prominent on the menu was the famous flan, and my eyes lit up, and my taste buds too, at the thought of this very traditional French way with custard tart. To my utter disappointment, when the waiter came to ask us about deserts, it was gone, all gone, none to be had until 12 noon the following day. It was after 11pm before we left, well satisfied with the food and having lingered over a second and then a third carafe from their very acceptable cellar of red wines, and customers were still being shown to tables in the bustling atmosphere. Our tums and palettes were very well satisfied after a thoroughly enjoyable evening, but even so, I couldn't help a forlorn thought of the missed tart. The moral is in the title..... I'll remember it, the next time!

Nice location, nice staff, food came in good portions. However, restaurant is not recommended for people with gluten intolerance! At first waiter did not understand what an intolerance means and once cleared, the alternative dishes provided turned out to be a deception. Waitress at the end was quite pushy offering us a digestive that was not “on the house” as it seemed but ended up on our bill.

Three of us had mains, desserts and drinks. Two fish mains were good - my friend even ordered extra curry sauce for his cod because it was so tasty. One of our group ordered a steak medium rare which very much came out medium! Its unusual for a Brit to think that something has been overdone but it definitely had been. The manager took one look, understood the problem and whisked it away to replace it very speedily with no fuss. The desserts were stunning - I particularly liked the lime cheesecake - you could order any of them and they would be lovely. I would highly recommend and would definitely come back if/when i return to Paris.

I had such high hopes when we return to this quaint place because their plat du juor never disappointed us, until now. And the waiter who served us seemed to have a terrible day or being forced to work after New Years. We ordered grilled lamb, which is not tender and cold, ended up not finishing it. Plat du juor is beef stew and not as good as I thought. My experience coming here is 180 from our expectations. I will not be returning here again.

The staff here do not care for your comfort or safety. Today, the temporary surface they had seated roughly 20 guest on collapsed while we sat on it, dropping my wife and the family next to us into a trench (a metre deep) that the surfacing was covering over. It’s pretty telling they knew they shouldn’t be seating people there, as almost immediately a chap began constructing a fence around it. They knew and they still chose to seat people there, clearly just trying to maximise profit. Disgusting behaviour. No one checked if we were ok, or hurt, we were simply ushered inside to finish eating our distinctly average and overpriced lunch. Do not eat here unless you know how to deal with rude waiters, are willing to put your life in these yahoos hands, are looking for food that should cost half as much and there is literally no where else to go. Even then, don’t go.

Booked table by email but restaurant didn't appear to have us on their list. Confirmation email in my possession cleared up any misunderstanding. Restaurant filled up quickly - service was efficient but not very friendly. The food ranged from excellent to average . The French onion soup was absolutely delicious as was the Crème Brulee - one of the best I've ever tasted. However the main courses were disappointing. My companion had the Beef Bourguignon - the sauce was very good but the meat was fatty and chewy. My lamb was very rare and lacked flavour. The sliced potatoes were probably fried from frozen and were very dry . All in all a mixed experience

A happy place. I’m sensitive to noise but the energy here is full of enthusiasm. No nonsense or froufrou just fine and friendly service and super, truly French food. Onion soups, terrine de compagne, perfectly prepared lamb loin and boeuf tartare, chocolate mousse (egg whites not yolks for lightness), a generous cheese plate and grand pichet of Mercurey all for Eu 112. You won’t beat this. Unobtrusively in a corner, Gautrand’s “Paris Mon Amour “ is for sale. How fitting! !

Came here for dinner on the recommendation of my hotel concierge. The restaurant is VERY popular - I saw a queue on Saturday - but the staff did their best to accommodate me very quickly. The French food is excellent and extensive, portions are large. There is also a very extensive large wine list. Service was quick and polite, and despite being busy the waiters had a sense of humour. Prices were more than reasonable. The one drawback is that the tables outside are ver6 close together, so you can hear the conversations of people around you. Also, if your neighbours start smoking (like mine did!) you’ll inhale smoke. However, there are tables inside as well.

I was there with my partner and we ordered menus from the card. One was 27 Euros the other was 30Euros and two Beers each 9 Euros. The Total would be 75 Euros, bug they made us pay 80 Euros. They thought the stupid tourist want see that. We asked why we had to pay more the servant didn‘t know what to say but apprently there is a charge of each item the bring on the table of 50cents. It still didn‘t make sense as they brought 6items including the 2 beers, so that would make 3 euros plus and a total of 78Euros. We paied that but left no tip and wan‘t go there anymore. I think is trashy when they try to rip off tourist especially in corona times.

This restaurant was packed early on a Sunday evening but they found us a table outside in February! We had the onion soup which was delicious. However, neither of us was fond of the main courses of steak and beef bourguignon. The staff were rushed off their feet and service was quite slow but our waitress was absolutely lovely. I’ll probably try elsewhere next time but this is undoubtedly a very popular place.

This is probably my favourite restaurant in Paris.A very busy spot to eat so be prepared to wait. However, the food was good, traditional and plentiful. In the heart of the Marais, I love the owner’s commitment to local and unprocessed, fresh produce. It also has a great vine.Prices were reasonable. Not cheap but appropriate for the quality of food.A must visit place as far as I am concerned.Very happy with our meals and would definitely return!

My husband and I were only in Paris for the weekend and we were looking for a French traditional cuisine thinking we would turn up to a really nice restaurant. Well this was not the case at all, I can’t even begin to tell you how vile the food was. I got the duck which was so dry but the rest of the food was so bland and not worth any where near €25 per dish. If you are looking for a nice restaurant please don’t go here. The restaurant it self is very small and dirty.

Good spot for breakfast, lunch, coffee, etc. Service can be extremely slow but plenty of outdoor seating and also indoor seating if you prefer. Pretty standard Paris menu in terms of food.

After a long day of museums and a walking tour of the Marais, we went here in the suggestion of our tour guide. We both had salads with warm goat cheese and they were hearty and delicious. We also had apple cake and espresso cake for dessert. So filing and tasty! Efficient service which improved as the meal progressed. We would return.

Stay away from this place! I saw all the good reviews and was excited to try it. However, when I ordered the chocolate mousse I discovered that there were 3 large pieces of glass laying right on top. One was 2-3 inches long! I was worried that I might have even eaten a piece. I was shocked that this was in my food and told the waiter, but to my surprise he seemed like he did not care in the slightest. He took the plate away and then a few minutes later returned with a new one. However, I told him I did not want another plate especially considering my last was filled with glass. The waiter still left it on my table and to my surprise the plate he brought me had a shard of glass right on top. If you look at my photos you can see them circled in red. I was furious and told the waiter who laughed when I told him the second plate had glass in it as well. Absolutely absurd that the staff do not have a care in the world that they could be serving something to a customer that could kill them. I would never come back here again!
