My hotel recommended this restaurant, and I bless them for it! It was so good the first night I ate there, with a friend visiting, as I was, from Israel, that I returned the next night also, this time with a friend from LA. The...first night, I arrived at 8:00pm and was famished. I scarfed down the delicious but tiny portions of the 5 course menu I'd ordered (stressing no shellfish or pork products for myself), and then ended with 6 pieces of handmade sushi, though they seemed more like sashimi to me. Then I was full. The second night, we each sated our hunger with 6 pieces of sushi, BEFORE starting our 6 course menus. Much better, because we could enjoy each perfectly made and presented course aesthetically as well as gastronomically. And since I do not eat pork or shellfish, but my guest each night would, we in effect got different meals. And each person was well satisfied with the delicious, superbly presented food. This restaurant is NOT cheap, but well worth the cost in my opinion. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.More

We were looking for a place to have lunch, and decided to give this small but elegant restaurant a try. It was a nice surprise, as we really enjoyed our meal. The miso soup was clean, deeply flavored, simply perfect, as were the main courses...we ordered: bento, tempura, tataki beef and a raw egg dish our friend ordered; he had been to Japan and said it was authentic and terrific. All the ingredients were of quality, expertly prepared end tasteful. Bill was 93 euros for three mains, teas, one sake e one dessert.More

So a friend suggested eating here. Our hotel made the reservation for us. It is in a street filled with Japanese restaurants. We arrived and were seated. A group of Japanese business men then arrived. We were completely ignored while they were served. Finally some...menus arrived and we were told there was no sushi or fish as they don't have any on a Monday. We walked out at that point. Why bother opening if you don't have sushi on a particular day? Had a really nice dinner a few doors down.More

If you can find it, this tiny place serves good set dinners beautifully presented in bento boxes. Delicious steak & sushi. For the price, I'm not sure I'll be going back, though.

Our hotel recommended Le Bizan to us. If you like fresh seafood and sushi, you should definately go here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The green tea ice-cream was a great desert.

After so many recommendations, I am sad to report that this is the greatest disappointment for Japanese restaurants in Paris. maybe it was just our table, but being a sommelier, and not having the appropriate presence of the house sommelier(who by the way had the...golden grape pin, synonymous of French sommelier)...never once, besides to offer a different sake, did he ask if we kept enjoying our meal. If you are ready to spend +3hrs at a table with only 2 other tables, pay +700€ for 4 people, no a la carte menu, then I advise you don't go. The service, besides being slow is incompetent and although in France, the staff speaks barely any French or English. So next time you decide to go to a Japanese restaurant on rue st.Anne, opt for a lesser reputation but definitely higher quality.More
