This ice cream was incredible!!! Really the best gelato I've ever had. And the combination of it with the raspberry topping and whip cream was to die for. We stuffed ourselves even after enjoying numerous macaroons and dinner. Some say it's worth it to go to Paris for this alone 😏

I had breakfast here: two scoops of ice cream and a croissant. It does not get any better than that!

Prepare to pay for a premium if you want to have experience sitting in this famous ice cream place. Otherwise, buy ice cream to go from the stand in front. 2 scoops of ice cream for 10 euro is just too much. Service adequate and can also order food. I tried ice cream (glacier in French) and quite ok but... More

My wife and I stopped here one evening to sample the oft recommended ice cream. We came in with the intention of being adventurous in our choice of flavors. We were too enticed by the chocolate and coffee flavors that we saw a young girl get ahead of us. They have a regular rotation of flavors and some are more... More

The best Ice cream parlor in Paris. A nice stop while walking the Ile St Louis. They have a wonderful range of nice sorbet and ice cream. Try the Cassis which is the one I think is most different and best.

Berthillon serves delicious ice cream that is all natural, full of taste and well known among turists. The ice cream is delicious, however the portions are very small and not very cheap (3 eur for 1, 5 eur for 2, and 6,5 eur for 3 portions). The ice cream again isn't so spectacularly perfect, so don't get your expectations too... More

Beautiful ice creams and sorbets. Lovely wander through Ile St Louis with a come in hand :) They have a wonderful range of nice sorbets, and the gelato is as good as any you would get in Italy.

We tried a lot of different variety of chocolate and each of them is distinct and delicious. Not to be missed on a stay in Paris

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
