Walking along the harbour you can be overwhelmed by the amount of places there are to eat ! But as you walk along up towards the citadel you find more little restaurants offering all sorts of wonderful dishes. We decided to eat at the A Casarella .. good decision, the service, food and place itself was fantastic. Locally sourced food... More

Very conveniently located within the citadel. Take a tour of the museum, and then have dinner here followed by a stroll around the citadel to take in the lights of the harbour.

On our last night in Corsica, we decided to go to A Casarella. Our hosts, who have a house near Bastia and spend at least three months a year there, chose the restaurant because of the spectacular view. Unfortunately, nothing could compensate for the appalling service and revolting food. The starters – a tuna tartare and a filo pastry concoction... More

Went to this place for a celebratory meal with old friends. There was a mix up with the order and two of us got our food 40 mins before the others. The manager was unapologetic and dismissed the cock-up as if we were giving too much importance to the fact that we were not eating together. Yes, the view is... More

We arrived tired after a long ferry ride from Nice. Found our apartment in the Citadel and were very worried about dinner options. A Casarella was a perfect choice. Helpful wait staff and they were patient with our lack of French. They pointed us to a great white wine to go with the fish. The vegetables were amazing, about 7... More

Worst service ever: We had to wait for more than 2 hours to get our food. We asked for some bread and olive oil to survive and shared it with other guests that were also starving. Great view outside. If there is no table outside dont bother to go inside. Its not worth it.

We decided to venture up to the Citadel for lunch and fortunately found 'A Casarella'. The restaurant was busy and we were fortunate to get in. The dining area is small, but it felt personal and offers a great view. We enjoyed our dishes which were tasty, well proportioned and priced and based on Corsican cuisine. All staff members were... We were in Bastia for the day and had researched several options for lunch. This was one of them, however my wife and I sort of stumbled upon it after visiting the Musee de Bastia. There were several dining options with a great view, but this one was by far the best. When I realized it was one of the... More

What a Beautiful view for a lovely meal! We had a great waiter who was very accommodating. We had very nice meals - the langoustine was yummy. Definitely worth booking as it was extremely busy and many were turned away whilst we were dining.

Today we had lunch at A Casarella and now we are all sick. The view is really amazing but it is a crime to serve such a terrible food. The tuna tartare was everything but fresh, the zucchini were sour. Could we add that the bill was extremely high?
