We had a delicious dinner here tonight. I had the veal with fries and salad and my husband the beef along with a good bottle of wine. We had reservations so ate inside which was very comfortable. Service was excellent. Highly recommend. Prices reasonable, servings large.
Fabulous food, incredible service, amazing wines and beers - The owner who served us suggested local beers and wines, which were all very good. He brought a glass or two for us to sample, no charge. The interior is an old cellar-like atmosphere with beautiful exposed stone. The food was excellent. We had the specials of the day, pasta and... More
Not sure why it got such high ratings but it did disappoint me. My beef was overcooked although I had asked for medium. It was the first time in my life when I left more than half of a steak. My friend's shrimp pasta and duck dish were not delicious as well. The shrimp was fresh but the taste was... More
We chose to entertain friends and family here on the basis of the TA reports and the overall pleasing exterior aspect of this place. First impressions were good: our party of 6 included a couple with a baby who was unfortunately not on best behaviour; the staff willingly accepted our early comings and goings as the parents attempted to calm... We had a wonderful meal last night. The service was great, the food really tasty .....wine excellent. The restaurant was packed, the staff were very helpful and smiling, I think it makes all the difference to have happy staff. This restaurant is good. Again I always find that non smokers are at a disadvantage as we can't sit outside without... More
Just an average food I would say. I got beef filet which was hard and chewy, ordered medium, received almost well done. Creme brulee not on pair of other good french restaurants, vanilla pannacotta doesn't even come with real fruit dressing but the one from a can. Too expensive for the quality is my final mark.
We tried the Roi du Rome and were pleased by the quality of food and service. The restaurant does not pretend to compete in the culinary league but offer great simple food and awesome profiteroles ... Reasonably priced, Le Roi de Rome should be considered by anyone looking for a good and simple dinner
