Fairly average bistro, starter of pate to share was tasty (though presentation could have been better) - we appreciated the gherkins served along side. Mains were nothing to write home about, again sloppy presentation and fairly plain flavours. Wine list was very expensive too. I was very surprised that the Best Western hotel could not have thought of somewhere better... More

We actually came a year ago and had a good meal, however one year later and things have gone severely downhill. I would almost suggest the place is closing down and is trying to milk as much from Best Western guests as it can. Positively the worst steak frites in France, a rip off wine list, a welcome as if... We had a nice meal here and it offered some interesting regional dishes, if you are feeling adventurous. The menu was reasonable priced and the service was good.

Four of us visited this restaurant on a stop over in Troyes. The restaurant was recommended by our hotel, which did not have a restaurant, and proved to be a well deserved recommendation. The restaurant is in the style of a traditional bistro, which helps to create a nice atmosphere. The service good and the menu gave a nice variety... More

Recommended by hotel we chose as it was closer than some of the others At first appears a typical bistro but there is a difference to this one Bread , they present half a baguette with knife for you to cut Starter I had the pate which basically was here's the dish cut off as much as you like. One... More

After a longish drive from Switzerland with our 10 year old granddaughter, we were happy to find this typically French bistrot just a few steps from our hotel. The food was good, not brilliant and we loved the atmosphere. Nice waiters. Menu choice ok.

Diverse menu, with classic French dishes. Nicely decorated place, but our sofa had no cushioning left... Our waiter was somehow absent-minded during the whole evening. Food arrived quickly, and it was ok. However, we felt that there was something missing - there was nothing special about it.

The best looking brasserie style Restaurant we could find. Reasonably good food, not a large menu, local dishes also available. Service was absolutely excellent but food not quite as good. Good spectrum of wines. Lovely Art Deco ceiling makes it worthwhile. Returned second night because we could not see anything nearby that looked better.

Very acceptable cooking, the service was very hit and miss but did not spoil the evening. €100 for 2 including aperitifs, wine and coffer

I would really like to score Le Bistroquet higher but, regrettably, suspect that I should actually mark it down based on our latest experience. Here's the thing - the front of house is pretty good with an ambiance harking back to a bistro at the beginning of the last century and quite acceptable service (our wine waitress was right on...
