Le Jamin is a traditional French restaurant. It's not really inside the historic city center (aka close to the cathedral), but you can easily walk to the restaurant from there (about 15 minutes) or take a taxi. Le Jamin serves traditional French food in a modernized setting. I went to Le Jamin with a friend for dinner yesterday and overall... More

I'm glad I got there early so I got my food in a timely fashion! It was well worth the trouble and expense. But to wait for 30+ minutes to have the main course plate removed is unacceptable anywhere. Other tables seemed to wait a long time too. There was only one waitron to do all the floor work including... More

The food was excellent. The diver scallops and the filet of boeuf were both beautifully presented. There is a very good wine list also.

We had a good meal at Le Jamin, but it was not extraordinary, certainly not deserving of the raves other folks have given it nor did I think it worth the price. Perhaps, it being a Tuesday on the first week of school the main chef was taking time off?

The amuse bouche, a courgette soup, was incredibly salty to the point of unedible. the rest of the meal was pleasant enough, if not particularly interesting or imaginative. the desserts were nice. the wine was expensive.

We pre booked this meal for a Tuesday evening at 2030 ( on advice of previous reviewers) and were not dissapointed. We had difficulty understanding the starters in particular ( full menu in French) but could manage the rest of the menu. I explained to Dorian the waiter that we were struggling and he cheerfully explained, with mime, as well... More

Excellent restaurant a bit further from center, but definately worth going an extra mile. Courteous waiters (precious in France), French cuisine (absolutely delicious food) and great value for money. I took a menu-set for 25 euro and got 5 courses. We haven't noticed any tourists, though the place was packed with locals. Highly recommended.

Menus are E20, 24 and 32. Fine and well prepared food at very reasonable prices. Wines start at E17. Got there at 7pm. When we left the place was packed with locals. You have to drive a few minutes to get here from downtown. Worth it.

We have just returned from le Jamin and I am writing the first review I have ever put on Tripsadvisor because this place deserves note. One of the best meals my husband and I have ever had (and we have dined in the US, England, Spain, Italy, France, Korea, Japan, etc). Excellent food - every course was exceptional. Excellent service... More
