So although the Buckwheat pancakes look a little strange on the plate, they are delicious - I had the vegan one and it was lovely so much so that even though I rarely have deserts I couldn't resist having a sweet pancake too.

We visited here in March and since we were back in Tours we thought we would check it out again. Glad to say it is as good as our last visit. I had the crepe with scallops and mushrooms, followed by a sweet crepe with...chocolate and caramel. Both were very good. We had a bottle of dry cider for drinks. Although the restaurant was very busy the service was very good.More

This place caught our eye as we walked past and I am so glad we walked in. The menu has a really large and varied list of savoury and sweet crepes. I had a Tajine which contained duck breast and apricot amongst other things. It...was delicious. We had a bottle of dry cider for drinks. I took the Top Gun ice cream dessert and it lived up to its name. The were pieces of really tasty praline in it. The service was friendly and fast and there was a nice atmosphere. And at 40€ for two people I think it is good value.More

We did get a very friendly welcome, good advise and excellent food. If you like salty or sweet pancakes this is the place to be!

We came back to La Bigouden as the galettes were so delicious. And their service is friendly and welcoming, also for those of us who are not fluent in French. Can recommend the galette tartiflette - with a salad and some good cider. Perfect french...meal.More

While living in France several years ago, we ate crepes often as we lived in the true crepe region of Brittany. We recently returned to France for a wedding but because we did not have time to go to Brittany, we were eager to at...least get some crepes during our visit to Tours. La Bigouden did quite a decent job of pulling off the true crepes of Brittany. The choices were diverse and the freshness and quality were quite good. We were thrilled to see that they were also able to provide the cidre for proper pairing. A nice experience. The service was prompt but a bit disinterested.More

I decided to test this crêperie because of the good judgments I found, but indeed I have been a bit unsatisfied, particularly from the salty crepes. Better the sweet ones, but also those not really impressing

If you're looking for a cheap and not terrible alternative near Place Pomerau (something that it is not that easy), this is an alternative. Pretty forgetable ( but considering where it's located, maybe not a bad thing).

My friend and I visited La Biougen mid week while on a break in Tours. We were drawn to the lively location in the old town and loved both the main gallette (savoury crêpes) and desert crêpes we had. The restaurant had lots of options,...all equally delicious and local wines on offer. I'd happily go back there again!More

Busy place but we were able to get an outside table. Very wide choice of crepes. My choice of a tartiflette crepe was superb. I am not giving this five stars as my husband's crepe he said was a little bland. Based on mine alone...I would have given a five. i would return if in Tours again.More

We went there to take the dessert. We took last available seats. Crepe was fluffy with chocolate sauce accompanied by a glass of cider. The ambiance was quite intimate. Downside, service was overwhelmed by the number of customers and they could not get a credit...card at that night. Food: 8.5 Ambiance: 8 Service: 7.8More

Didn't come for a full meal just needing a straight up dessert that wasn't an overly fancy concoction. The crepe is massive, pages of delicious combinations. We went straight for dessert and had warm home made chocolate generously drizzled over the crepe with a perfect...dollop of vanilla ice cream. Nothing over the top. Just right. Service was quick. Space was fun and modern. I could see having a great lunch in here.More

Having lunch in La Bigouden was a treat after a busy morning visiting Tours. Centrally placed and well priced it makes great for eating out. The kids enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was very pleasent.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at La Bigouden on a day trip to Tours. There might have been smarter more gastronomic restaurants to choose from but we couldn't have had a more delicious meal or better service. There is a very wide...range of savoury and sweet crepes. Ours came very quickly and although the restaurant was full the service was excellent and those waiting for a table to become free were seated quickly. I'd say it was worth waiting for.More
