In the mood for crepes, we came across this charming looking place beside the cathedral, checked the reviews and decided to reserve a table. Upon arriving, a harassed-looking man waved us away rather dramatically. We explained (in French) that we had a reservation, whereupon he waved us to a table. Then proceeded to ignore us for almost half an hour.... More

This restaurant serves mainly a huge assortment of very hearty version of crepes. Three or 4 of the selections for crepes are suitable for vegetarians. They also serve omelettes and salads. In addition to food, they serve hard cider which is very tasty. Located next to the cathedral St. Gatien.

Just stopped for a break on the nice little terrasse just aside the cathedral. Really friendly service, although we only wanted a drink (bottle of cider)... Thanks for the good mood. Would it have been time to eat, it would have been with pleasure to sit there a bit longer.

Service was great. waiters English was fantastic. We carry notes saying "no dairy", "please cook meat done well done no red in the centre", "we would like two bills please" Food was lovely, although my sausage looked and tasted a lot like a hot dog. Washroom very clean. I down graded because of access there were a couple of steps... More

Very different and excellent restaurant. The staff were lovely and the food was well priced and delicious. Good lunch time menu which filled us up for the rest of the day!

In search of galettes, we found this place while wandering around the area by the Saint Gatien cathedral. We were seated by a friendly gentleman who spoke some English and was patient with my less-than-stellar French. The small restaurant has some lovely murals of typical Bretagne scenery on the walls and a menu filled with galettes and omelettes with just... More

A few weeks ago, my wife and I enjoyed a light dinner at this restaurant in Tours. We enjoyed it very much. Our dinner crepes were excellent, I particularly liked mine which had grilled beef and potatoes, my wife's had salad ingredients. Instead of wine we decided to try the local specialty of cider, it was just delicious. The crepes'... More

This was definitely my culinary highlight in Tours. The Grange des Celtes is not a very big restaurant, yet its owners really seem to lover their job and taking care of their guests/customers. When I said that I wanted to try some original local cidre I was given a small selection of different tastes from which I could then choose.... More

The waiting time was a little long, both to place our orders and to pay. The choice on the menu was extensive, especially for the savoury crepes, but there were also eggs, omelettes and salads for those who want a change. Quality wise, we were slightly disenchanted. The ratatouille in the crepe was definitely out of a can, and we... More

Very cute little cafe/restaurant right next to Tour's central cathedral. The servers are extremely friendly, speak English very well, and are fast and professional. Although its in a touristy spot, tourists are not the only people that eat here and the food is definitely good enough to stand on its own with any other restaurant in Tours. A great place... More
