We ended up here on a Saturday night as lots of places were closed and others totally full. We chose the steak, just ok, and two galettes which were not. Too much potato and cheese, and the other just a collection of fried veggies in the crepe. Worst of all, the red wine was undrinkable, smelled and tasted of perfume.... More

My wife and I dined here after touring the Royal City. This is a crepe shop with a nice menu. I had an excellent medium rare deck breast will small green beans and my wife had a duck gizzard and pork salad with a slice froi gras. She indicated that the pork overshadowed the gizzards and was disappointed. Larry &... More

We were stopping on an overnight and our hotel restaurant wasn't open. As my dad can't walk far we made it here so we ended up here. We chose the set menu and were the only customers. Food came out and was ok but cool with the exception of the steak which was so tough it was impossible to chew... More

This small, unassuming eating place is a hidden gem. The menu is simple French food at its best. Generous portions beautifully presented, friendly staff and a pleasing price. There are many restaurants, cafes and brasseries in Loches, (although many are closed mid week in Low Season)...some of the menus appear slightly, 'touristy' and too clever; this restaurant offers a range... Arrived at 12.30pm on Saturday (market day) with our two children, aged 4 and 2. Ordered, got drinks (OK house red wine, nothing special). No bread. We had chosen this place because it offered a sensible range - crepes for the kids, grown up meals for the grown ups. Crepes arrived quickly, which was a relief after a number of... More

Went for a meal on the day of our arrival in the area. Restaurant is straightforward, reasonable value and reasonable food. Service was fine.

Nice location in the walking zone of Loches. Food was filling, traditional and okay. Wine was very good. Service could have been friendlier but okay.

Decent food, if a little overpriced. Enjoyed the steak with marchand du vin sauce. Don't bother with bottled wine, just order a carafe - cheaper and just as good.

Good value meal. Wide choice between crepes and full meals. Cobbled area, nice and cool in very hot weather.

We were, so we gave this place a try for lunch. It was a fine May day so we took the outside option, and perused the menus. We chose from the array of galettes, savoury pancakes for the non-French speaking. Mrs R went fishy, with an assortment of seafood in a cider and cream sauce, which she claimed was very... More
