We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights, and ate at the restaurant two of the three nights. The 29 Euro fixed price menu was reasonable and delicious! The escargot was wonderfully garlicky, the plaice fillet with caper butter was one of the best main dishes of the trip. So simple but melt in your mouth! I ordered it again... More

Food was excellent, staff was attentive. Delightful array of French quisine without the high prices. Full menu Diane was our favorite offering selections for starter, main course and dessert. We are staying at the Inn here and give it 5 stars as well. Try the escargo, blend of garlic butter and fresh herbs is a must try!

Comfortable room and nicely presented, flavorful food. We thoroughly enjoyed the pate and escargot, as well as the beef.

During a recent two-night visit to Chenonceaux (we stayed at the very good La Maison De Faille B&B), we dined twice at La Roseraie, appropriately recommended to us by our B&B proprietor as the mid-ranged quality dining option in two. On successive evenings, we chose from among the range of fixed-price dinners, which are ranked by the expensiveness of what... More

A fine restaurant in a lovely village location, La Roseraie provides all that one expects of French cuisine. The menu is extensive, the food preparation and presentation is top class. The ambiance in the dining room is lovely, and most enjoyable on a sunny afternoon. Staff are efficient, although they have a tendency to scurry. Prices are reasonable for the... More

We arrived to tour the Chateau on Sunday, and decided to have lunch beforehand.....about 1 PM, We picked La Rosaraie because it was not quite as expensive as the one across the street, the menu looked good, and the people we could see through the window didn't all look like tourists. We were seated at a nice table for 2...all... More

We walked across the road from our hotel to sample the opposition, and we were not disappointed. The dining room at La Roseraie is elegant and well laid out with comfortable distances between tables. The clientele on Friday night appeared to be two-thirds French, one-third English-speaking, and without children. Most of them appeared to be staying at the hotel. We... More

We dined last night at La Roseraie without a booking and were still able to get a table for two in the nicely appointed room which was quite full. We both opted for the 3 course set menu for €29.00. There was plenty of choice with 4 or 5 dishes for entree and the same for the main course. I... More

This is the third restaurant we've tried in Chenonceaux, the other two ranking first and second in the town. We had high hopes for La Roseraie - the menu looked enticing, seasonal and local. Sadly, in the end, it disappointed. The lamb encrusted with goat's cheese was dry, tough, and with all but a fleeting flavour of goat. It was... More
